It may indeed be people's body chemistry in some respect, but not when you had been wearing it for a couple of years and it lasted for hours, then suddenly with a new bottle it didn't last an hour - with many similar complaints of long-time wearers. I too layered with body lotion, but that made little difference. Just makes me very sad, because I loved it and got compliments when I wore it.

I completely agree.

I used to get compliments on pretty much a daily basis - from men, women, young, old, people I knew, strangers, etc.

And then I got the new formulation, which seemed different. And the compliments came to a dead stop.

I understand that scents don't smell the same on each of us, and that body chemistry can play a part. But no one's body chemistry changes in one day. It was PG that changed.

How funny! I posted this on Beauty Banter just a few minutes ago:

I've been hearing that I smell really good. I always respond the same way: "Oh, no -- that's not me." Why? Because I know that when I spray pure grace on myself the scent disappears before I put the bottle back on the shelf.

But coworkers insist they're smelling something really good -- something clean, like soap. (I can't believe they can detect pure grace on me. Now I don't feel like a complete idiot for continuing to buy it.)

Pure Grace is one of my favorite scents. I like how it smells when I shower with it, and when I spray on the spritz. I would be the first to tell you that I did not think the spritz had any lasting staying power. The other day, I ran up to the ATM machine to withdraw some money. There was an older woman standing at the machine next to me and she turned to me and said you smell really good. It made me smile. Perhaps, we can't smell it, but others can.

I wouldn't have believed it, but now I do. For years I heard callers say they worked in healthcare and always wore amazing grace. I always wondered why they weren't wearing pure grace. A much better choice. Wink

Hi

I am a huge Pure Grace user. Just a few weeks ago was sad i had to throw away a brand new bottle of Pure Grace {#emotions_dlg.mad} because no scent,it was awlful got it somewhere else than the Q,but threw away packing slip i would of returned it for a refund but my bad oh well.

Also they stopped making the stronger version of Pure Grace so now i am no longer buying Pure because no scent. If the stronger version of Pure comes back i will buy it again.I work in healthcare Pure Grace is the only scent i can wear near my clients.

I've purchased new bottles from both here and Ulta recently and the scent lasts all day. It's not real strong, but enough to notice, which I like.

I ordered the 3 piece Pure Grace kit that has the whipped butter, olive scrub, and parfum. I sure hope the parfum will linger longer than the edt. When I buy fragrance, silly me expects it to hang with me through the day. I could spray the whole bottle at one time and not offend a single person within an inch of me. Here's hoping with the parfum.....

Pure Grace has never been a Philosophy favorite for me. I ordered the PG in the new whipped body creme when there was a sale. I like it, and there is plenty of scent to it. I can put it on at bedtime and smell it the next morning. My husband says it smells like soap. Someone mentioned Clean Ultimate, and to me it smells like bug spray. I really like all of Philosophy's core fragrances. Amazing Grace is my current favorite, no wait, Falling in Love is.

Layer it with the Whipped body creme or the body lotion. Then realize it may vanish to your nose, but others smell the scent. That is how it has always worked for me.
