I did that with LG items and didn't know I hit-pan until I asked my friend what to do!
Hmmm. What does it look like when you hit the pan on a LG product? I'd expect to see a smooth metal or plastic base. But I'm seeing a textured surface - like a gridwork of little squares. Ist THAT the pan? I'll feel a whole lot better if I just used it all, instead of ruined it with my sunscreen.
@MandyG06 or anyone else, how does the Balance n Brighten base look when you've "hit the pan"?
@shoesnbags I've never hit pan on balance and brighten but have on Laura's Baked elements foundation and yes, that is how it looks when you hit pan- the gridwork.

@soonersis wrote:This is baked on a terra cotta tile so prehaps that is what you are seeing and you have indeed hit the bottom. Does it look like terra cotta?
It's brown (my B&B was Fair) and has little square indentations across the surface. But this shipped on May 1, so it's hard to believe that I could have used it all already. On the other hand, I don't know what else to think.

Well that certainly sounds like the bottom of the pan, especially since you have the fair which would be much lighter. I'm surprised you would have gone through it that fast. Did you use quite a bit of it on a daily basis?

@HappyDaze@Lovemakeup I was posting at the same time as you!
So it must be the pan I'm seeing. I wonder if I got a faulty product, because I sure wasn't using an extreme amount. Also, the "pan" if that's what it is, isn't very far down into the casing. If this is the pan, it was very shallow layer of product in the packaging. I really don't know what to think!

Well, I did use it every day since I received it. And I used it as my foundation, not as a finishing powder. So I'd guess that I was using a moderate amount. But believe me, I didn't look powdery or overdone. I liked that it looked so natural in the daylight. (You know, when you look in the car mirror and sometimes get an unwelcome surprise?) I don't like to look "made up."

I can't imagine how you could go through it that fast, even using it as your foundation and as you described. These usually last many, many months, perhaps up to a year. Maybe you got one that was not completely filled. Never heard of that happening, but suppose it's possible. You might call customer service and explain that it should not have run out this fast and perhaps they will send you another one. The worst they could say is no, so there's nothing to lose if you do. Good luck.

I'd be surprised if you have already hit pan unless there is a lot less product than there used to be. I've had good luck using any kind of tape to pick up the hard covering. I've used scotch tape and packing tape. Just put it on the surface in sections and when you pick up the tape the top layer is stuck to the tape. It really works.

Thank you so much. I'm going to try this - it can't hurt!

Well if it's going to happen to someone, it would probably be me. Today I got someone else's Lori Goldstein shoes instead of the Alegria sandals I ordered. Naturally, there are no more of the color I wanted in my size. But as you said, it couldn't hurt to call CS, and I could offer to send them the B&B container.

Ok, I just tried two kinds of tape, and it picked up nothing. Also tried to scratch it and couldn't. So this must be the base. It's less than 1/4 inch down in the container. So I guess I'll try customer service and see what they say.
