@SilleeMee I can't eat any dairy other than sheep or goat cheese.
I'm sneezing all over the place.
Plus dairy always made me redder.
Years ago I also took "dairy free" probitiocs. It did not do a thing
for my skin.
The aveeno radiance cleanser sensitive for pimples has salaylic acid in it. It does not dry out.
(Off topic but I still did not try the tret I purchased. the .025 one. haha, you got lme nervous with redness business. I'm chicken.
And have to find new facialist now, the one I had is moving with hubby and newborn child. Now have to find another for the remaining pimples that refuse to go away(the squatters) only 4 thouigh. Cheeks not red anymore. flushing is minimal. I think that Neutrogena gel was the culprit.

You can try mixing the tret with a moisturizer, half & half roughly, and apply it once and then see how your skin behaves to that. Wait until the following week and do it again if things look okay.
By 'half & half' I mean a half pea-size amount of tret mixed into your regular amount of moisturizer. Apply that to well-dried face. Wait at least 15 minutes or longer after cleansing to apply. Moist or damp skin is too absorbent for tret and that can cause irritation by allowing the tret to absorb too fast and too deep.

@SilleeMee wow, thanks I shall. Dont you think I should wait for second facial and then 5 days later start? I'm searching online now and found one. They have that hydrafacial one too. Looks like a really good place. Again, thanks!

If the facial includes extractions or peels then wait 3 days after the facial to start using the tret.
Question about the tret...do you know if it is micro-encapsulated (time release) type? If it is then you can apply that anytime after cleansing. No need to wait for face to completely dry, but not on wet skin.
Micro-encapsulated tret is good for people who cannot tolerate regular tret. Micro is slow-acting and less irritating.

I don't know if it is. It is a little push type bottle. The print is so small but I don't think it would say that there. Only the ingredients.
Plus down here in Florida it's already steamy and muggy. I just ran a few errands (no makeup) for a few minutes and I feel warm.
Ugh, I don't belong in this climate that is for sure. The long hot summer, here it comes. Never even wore one over the knee boot or faux furt jacket once either. When I was a child growing up here in in October to the day you would wake up to a crisp cool feel in the air. when mom would open the windows.
Not anymore. It's so hot it's oppressive. Wait until the newcomers spend all year here and actually spend year around.

@SilleeMee can we start a new thread on rosacea and "demodex" here as cause for it? It is a mite which rosacea people have more of.
Many do not know this. I think there is a demodex soap somewhere. My late mom used to talk about it too. And other facialists who believed it is the cause indeed.

@Violet Fields Hi, I don't think probiotics will help rosacea as I've been there done that for years and gave up.
If you want to try I love "jarrow" It is in the refrigerated sectionof whole foods for instance, or you purchase online. It is non dairy too.
Jarrow is a high quality vitamin company. Just keep it refrigerated so bacteria stay alive.

I've heard of "ivermectin" and it gives great ratings. I try.

Yes but how good is it to take antibiotics daily? Not very.
I was hositalized 3 months after surgery and got sepsis after a botched surgery, Please believe me. Yes, antibiotics will work but you want to take them daily? A bad problem for healthy living. Nothing will help you anymore when using too much. I was instructed -- no more x-rays or antibiotics for at least 4 years.
I get my teeth cleaned but refuse x-rays.
