Snail mucin is in various cosmetics, IT CC Cream for example.  Surely you realize that the ingredient is filtered and prepared (and odorless) for humans.  I could apply snail goo on my face before I could eat a snail/escargot LOL  I use it am and pm.  But I can understand if it freaks you out.  My family gags every time I mention it.

Well, yes, I figured it would be purified in some way, but I guess just the sound of it, is kind of offputting!! Man Tongue  LOL!  I had no idea it was used kind of routinely in so many products!  The gag reflex does come to mind with me, also!  And --- I could never see myself eating escargot either -- no matter the fancy name --- it's still SNAILS!!! Thank you for your help!!
