Do you not know that most of what comes from Asiais counterfeit!!! I am a medical Esthetician and you are taking your own health in jeopardy by buying prescriptions from Thailand!!! Not to mention it is ILLEGAL! Good luck with that and when you have a serious issue or burn on your skin then you will have no one to blame but yourself!First of all, if it is counterfeit, then why does it work? Secondly, my own esthetician doesn't have any concerns about me using Retin A from Thailand. Third, I am married to a retired plastic surgeon...and he doesn't have any issues with my buying Retin A from Thailand off eBay now that he has seen the results of it. In fact, he uses it himself. If we were going to have any serious burns, surely they would have appeared by now.
People purchase drugs from other countries all the time. Who doesn't want to save money? As long as the drugs are not addictive substances, U.S. customs lets them go through.
Thank you for your concern, but I think my skin is in very capable hands.
Couple of things:
If it's counterfeit, why does it work? Ever hear of the placebo effect?
Your retired PS husband doesn't see anything wrong with you buying a product off ebay from Thailand because he sees the results? Well, he would also know that your skin is the largest organ that absorbs the ingredients of what is applied into the blood stream. He isn't claiming he can see the results of that is he?

w84WEN these ladies do not need to worry about me giving them anymore professional advise. I have 20 years as a medical esthetician, I am a registered nurse, and I have worked for two of the BEST known dermatologists in the country..but that does not make me qualified?!?!? I was only trying to help, but I have seen that these forums are not about that. Thank you for understanding what I was trying to offer w84WEN. I guess they think the Louis Vuitton they buy off ebay from Asia is authentic also!

chloesmoma1, as a medical professional, you did the right thing. You can lead the horses to water, but you cannot make them drink. If you encouraged 1 person to seek the advice of their licensed doctor rather than put their health in the hands of a business overseas, job well done.

That's about enough with the insults. If you want to come here and be accepted, the first priority is to be nice. It goes a very long way.
Again I will tell you, I personally did not buy from Asia, so I will not debate that with you, however, I will call you out on your nasty, holier than thou attitude.
You are brand new (maybe?) around here. We don't know you at all, with no posting history. Anybody can come on a message board and claim to be whatever they want.
You could say you are the Queen of Sheba and we don't have any way to prove or disprove it.
We have to take everyone at face value and let me tell you, so far, I'm not liking the face you are putting out there and I don't think I'm alone feeling that way.
HappyHousewife is that you?

I don't need to ""claim"" to be anyone other then who I am! You have yourself a good day and maybe find someone else who is intimidated by you because it isn't me
Nor I you. All I'm asking for is that you not insult others while expressing your opinion.

Oh please. You've got to be kidding! I suppose people who get the measles vaccine don't get the measles because of the placebo effect in your mind. Cosmetics and medications in Thailand are more tightly regulated than in China.
This is very effective tretinoin. A friend of mine started on .05% from eBay and became very red and had a lot of peeling. She went down to .025%.
As far as what my husband and I use on our skin goes, that is up to us. There are a lot of people who only eat organic produce also...and I haven't seen any studies showing that they live longer than those who eat produce farmed with pesticides...which also go into their bloodstream.
