This thread was making me want to try it too. Plus I have the mega UD Vice lipstick sample set to try.

report back on the results @jaxs mom! I'll do the same! Smiley Happy

Ok well I'm not really up on how that look is done. I did google it which said similiar to your OP that you basically color out the cupids bow. I tried it today and I thought it looked a little odd on me. But, my cupids bow is prominant and I'm used to coloring it well so it stands out. It was probably just not what I was used to. I used Urban Decay Vice lipstick in Pandemonium, which is a purple shade.

I'm going to try it again with another color.

Re: Preference regarding the look of lips?

Ok I tried again. I think maybe it didn't work as well with the purple lipstick. So I did it with a black cherry type color. This time I lined my lips first with a black liner, used UD confession lipstick to fill in which is black wine tone and then I layered oil slick lipstick over it which is black and shimmery. Wow it looks awesome. I'm not sure if they still make those two lipstock colors as they were from back in the sword packaging days.

I don't think it looks nice at all and rather harsh. Reminds me of what Lisa Robertson used to do with the lipliner. I just prefer a softer look.

Let 'em shine, people!

Don't have much of a Cupid's bow myself, but my lips are 'medium' w/ my lower one larger, so I sometimes look pouty LOL (I never pout).
