Powder or liquid foundation for over 50,whats your preference?

I used to prefer a powder foundation as I hate the way liquids feel but it seems all my powder foundations are starting to make me look older.I have Halo,Balance&Brighten,Mac studio finish.They all used to look great but now not so much.Is powder a no no for over 50? TIA
