I bought a pore vacuum for my large pores on t zone.  I have tried so many products and retin A every day or so and nothing has worked.  I used this yesterday and it did not completely do the job but maybe helped.  I will try again and see what happens. Anyone else had any good results?

I just had my ears vacuumed Friday!  No kidding, my ear canals are very small so every four months I have to drive an hour to a specialist to have this done and Medicare won't pay for it.  OK, back to your subject, I'm anxious to hear what everyone thinks.  I have a pimple that will not go away, right on my cheek!  Someone on the boards recommended Tea Tree Oil and Paula's BHA salicylic acid, but it continues to come back.  I think it did make my pores appear smaller but was very drying.  When I was young I always wore make-up to bed and now I'm paying for it!  I just thought that was the time you should look your best. Smiley LOL

The pore (where your "pimple" is) needs to be completely  emptied of the infected material.     That means "squeezing".

Agree with squeezing and then apply a topical anti-infection cream - again and again until healed.

Plesae have a derm trained to spot skin cancer for that blemish; it is 1 of the signs of skin cancer.

@Desertdi   That's the one thing we learn as teenagers...don't squeeze zits! This should only be done by a professional. You'll end up with scarring, possible infection and if all material is not emptied from the pimple, it comes back anyway.

@chiclet   Having a professional helps the most. They steam the pores open...essential to be able to clear them out. Go to someone licensed to do extractions if pores need to cleared of blackheads/whiteheads. She can then also do microdermabrasion that further cleans your skin and smoothes the surface, recommend products that won't clog your pores and keep them clear.

***If you have large pores, it is a fact, that as we age and skin loses volume and begins to sag, the pores stretch and begin to open more. This leads to the possibility of them filling up w/ more debris. That's why a suggest a professional facial. They can put you on a schedule of maybe every 3 months to keep the pores clear and look less noticeable.

BTW, Retin A will work if you keep it up on a regular basis. You may be using cleansers/moisturizers that are too rich.

@Shanus    I didn't say "who" should do the squeezing (!!!!).    But, at my age, I can truly say, "I am an expert".     di

Differin gel  which you can find over the counter works well on lrge pores & breakouts.  Go to a dermatologist abt the " blemish " you say is reoccuring. Basal cell cancer can look like a fluid filled lesion . I know someone  who had had a reoccuring fluid filled lesion on her face that  ended up as basal cell cancer .
