I would suggest trying it from a smaller size found on ebay, before you invest a lot.

I don't apply anything over it. And I don't use any oil based products under it either.

I think it works okay. I bought some along time ago. It's lasts a while.  At least for me. I sort of forgot about it, but now that you reminded me I'll get it out.  You only use TINY amount. I apply under eye.  I use Suoer Goop tinted moisturizer, and it does just fine. But it don't put foundation clear under eye either. No pilling for me
