Oh to be 10 years younger would be so nice.  That was a great year.

I use Almay but I may try that Essence mascara.  I just tried some Loreal Lash or whatever it was called.  It was not great but acceptable but I finished it since I cannot bring myself to throw $$ away.

Re: Please help with mascara recommendations

I hear so many great things about tubing mascaras.  In the past they didn't give volume but I believe that has changed.

The tarte one sounds great.

@San Antonio Gal I just added this to my Amazon order.  I use a lash serum so I don't need length, but want more volume.  Volume, to me, doesn't mean each lash looks fatter as in spider leg lashes, but as if I had more lashes.  I like a feathery look for lashes.  However, I wish it would also curl, but I have my heated eyelash curler for that, but it's an extra step.  However, I'll be losing my singing gig come January so I'll have a bit more time getting ready for Church to work with then.

@San Antonio Gal I'll miss some of it, but I won't miss having to be there at 8:30 for mic checks.  I also won't miss us having to have something ready almost every week.

I'll also miss handbells.  They want nothing to do with that.

I'll give it awhile to see how it goes, but I also might decide to try out the church across the street from my gym.  I know it is my denomination and I think they have a choir.  I know our choir director when we still had a choir went there once for demos of some of the new music coming out.

@Natureluvr

I’m open to trying them again, but definitely need more practice.

For sure.  Practice makes perfect.  If you do give them another try, buy the ones with the "invisaband" vs a thick black solid band.  They apply easier and less noticable.

Look above the solid  black band on this set of lashes.  That is just part of the pkg.  The lash band is an invisible type.  I've worn solid bands but don't anymore.  They're just not as comfy.  Also, give your glue time to get good and tacky.  I wave mine around and blow on them for about 30 seconds.  If your lash doesn't stick (vs slides around), the glue isn't tacky enough.  You'll still have time to readjust them.  The examples below are ones I wear and all have the invisible type bands.

Another style I wear a lot.  Again, no solid band

Re: Please help with mascara recommendations

False eyelashes are a great alternative to mascara if you can wear them. Sadly, over the years no matter how advanced the glue has become, it continues to irritate my eyes.  My eyes swell up like I've been crying for hours (not a good look).  As long as there are mascaras on the market that give me the length and thickness I like and are not flaking and wearing off before I take it off, I have to stick with mascara.
