That one doesn't have silicones, as far as I can see, but it contains gums which can also cause pilling.

@SilleeMee  - I give up.  LOL  Just ordered a silicone free LaRoche Posay moisturizer from Amazon.  Will try it and see what happens.  Also, the Vanicream moisturizer I have is supposedly silicone free so will try that one tonight.

@JudyL - Vanicream seriously life changing. I'm not kidding! Researching on extra dry skin came across to Doctors on YouTube - Dr. Dray & few more who recommended Vanicream Daily Face lotion use first then layer OG Vanicream over my skin issues went away also no more lizard texture! Smoother swear softened my wrinkles. No peeling! Amazon best prices. Travel sizes too. 🥰

Thank you for your kind words @vegan4ever . I appreciate it very much.

Yeah, Moissanite prices are all over the place. It's all the same stone especially now since the C&C patent expired some years ago. The recipe now is cookie cutter and pretty much foolproof.

Re: Pilling, Oh How I Hate It!

Try not totally drying your face after washing with lukewarm or a little colder  water then  only pat dry so that there is some  water  still on  your face , then us Royal elixir    then put on moisturizer. Water is "moisture " so when you put on serums or creams on not totally dried skin - they get absorbed better  and you also use less product . Hope that helps

I did my usual evening skin care routine last night, ending with Perlier Youth Creator.  Waited about an hour before putting on my moisturizer and dang it - it pilled!  I hate when that happens.  I use the Perlier Royal Elixir moisturizer and have used it in the past and don't remember it pilling.  Or maybe I just didn't realize it.  If I hadn't looked in the mirror last night I might not have noticed it.  Although, I did feel it on my face and thats why I looked in the mirror.  Anyway, I googled what causes pilling and am almost certain its the combo of the RE Youth Creator and this moisturizer. You would think since they are both Royal Elixir products that they would be fine together.  Have this moisturizer on AS too.  So now I'm on the hunt for a new night cream.

Think I'll try the Cetaphil Healthy Renew Night cream.

On top of the above, I was taking off my eye makeup and ended up spilling about 2/3rds of a bottle of my Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover.  Guess I'll order another one of those when I order the Cetaphil.

I'm sorry for your troubles, @JudyL.  I wish I could offer some suggestions.  At night, I do my face early - no less than an hour before bed but usually longer than that.  After makeup removal, cleansing, and a Dr. Nassif pad, I start with the CosRx dark spot treatment, then the snail mucin and peptide booster stuff - cocktail them.  Then I cocktail the Perlier Pearls of Youth and the Youth Creator. Moisturizer with a few drops of oil added finishes the job.  The moisturizer is either the Perlier RE daycream, RMS Kakadu plum cream, or the Cetaphil Healthy Renew Night Cream but I don't use much whichever one it is.  I do everything all at once.  Then, at bedtime, I'll apply my full strength Tretinoin.  I don't get any pilling. 🤷‍♀️

BTW, I like it but I'll be phasing out the RMS cream - have a few jars to get through first.  It's a nice cream but so is the Perlier and it's a better value.  The Perlier is a little thick, IMO, so lately I've been liking it better at night than daytime.  When winter really gets here that could change.   I like the Cetaphil too.  I have a lot of facial moisturizers to use up but I see the possibility of eventually making the Cetaphil my permanent nighttime moisturizer..  It's good and the price is terrific.  Right now I happen to have a Perlier and a Cetaphil opened so I'm alternating them .  Anyway, I hope you like the Cetaphil.

BTDT with accidentally dumping product too, more than once 🫤.  It's so easy to bump something or have a bottle slip out of your hand if there's product on it.  Either way, it's frustrating.
