@monicakm, I'm sorry to be a pest. My skill on comp are horrible!! May I please ask you a question? I like Tatcha products (some) but are becoming to expensive for my budget. I have been using the   THE ESSENCE  before applying a little amt of skin products.use very little makeup. do like a tinted moisturizer. I am fair ( not porcelain) with neutral undertone. Can anyone tell me if this Product   TATCHA is really necessary. or what do you recommend? It is applied after cleansing  face. supposedly, it help makeup on your skin Ik now you are not a mindreader but all your suggestion work beautifully for me. As I said Each of you ladies having been so helpful to me . Poor monicakm will think I am a pain!! I'm sorry.. Started my day day at 4:30 A.M. now we are retired  I still do not sleep late in morn, Would like to be able but I guess the oler I get the less sleep I need. LOL Woke up to notice another silver gray hair. Last week my Hair stylist told me she sa more gray hair. However. I am thankful for all I have

You're not a pest at all!

I started my skin care Journey with Tatcha and still enjoy the bread even though I'm down to just one product, the exfoliating powder.  I used to use their essence but have since moved on to other brands. Any skin care product in my opinion is only as necessary as you feel that it is. Some people feel a bar of soap and a washcloth is all they need. Some people feel a 7 to 10 step program is necessary. I'm in the 7 to 10 step program camp. Essences help hydrate and moisturize your complexion and enable it to accept/ absorb your other skin care products better. I have a super dry complexion and flood my face every morning with multiple essences/ toners. Today's toners are not what we grew up with. They are not stripping.  According to the skin care industry, today's essences and toners are one in the same.  I don't know how well they help your makeup unless it's because of the moisturizing and hydrating properties that soften your complexion.  Makeup is going to look nicer over a hydrated complexion then a dry and Flaky one.

I use several essences at one time but here are the two I've used the most and would keep if I can only keep two of the ones that I have. Not saying at all that they are the bee's knees but they work for me.  I know the Kiehls product is spendy but it's often on sale... but a drop in the bucket compared to SK II!

@monicakm, I LOVE Tatcha . Have used the cleansing oil. Now using the RICE WASH. Really like Major problem. The rice Wash is contained in plastic tube. Impossible to squeeze contains from this tub due to thickness of  rice cream wash.. Time for a change. Going to try your suggestion. Have always been happy with your ideas. Thank you so very much.
