Philosophy needs a more informative on-air presentation

I have never used Philosophy before. Last weekend I figured I would watch the many on-air presentations to learnwhat the products were about. All the Philosophy presenter and the OVC host said was how much they LOVE to product, the product is SO GREAT, it is a DESERT ISLAND product, they LOVE the product, and they really really LOVE the product. The testimonial callers also said the same thing, no matter what Philosophy product it was. It felt like I was an outsider listening to a group of friends chat about something they looooove, but it was an "inside" conversation and I didn’t get any of the references. Needless to say, none of that was sufficient for me to order any products.

I see that Philosophy will be on air again in the beginning of November. Hopefully the following questions will be answered:

Regarding Purity:

  • What IS purity? What is it made of?

  • Why doesn’t it lather? If lather is harmful, how so?

  • What does Purity DO for the skin? (It "cleanses and removes makeup" is not enough information)

  • What does it mean that Purity is "water-activated"?

  • How much water do I need when using Purity?

  • What quantity of Purity should be placed on the face for cleansing?

  • Do I need to use eye makeup remover before using Purity?

  • Do I need to use toner after using Purity?

  • People with sensitive skin may want to use Purity only and continue using all of their regular products to see if they have a reaction to Purity. How should people with sensitive skin incorporate Purity into their daily routine?

  • Why should I stop using my current cleanser and start using Purity?

Regarding Hope in a Jar:

  • What IS Hope in a Jar? What is it made of?

  • What does Hope in a Jar DO for the skin? (It "moisturizes the skin like nothing else" and "Oprah uses it" is not a thorough enough answer.)

  • What quantity of Hope in a Jar should be placed on the face? Seeing the on-air presenter rub it on the back of her hand was not helpful whatsoever.

  • Do I need to use toner before using Hope in a Jar?
  • Does Hope in a Jar go on OVER or UNDER acne treatment cream?

  • People with sensitive skin may want to use Hope in a Jar only and continue using all of their regular products to see if they have a reaction to Hope in a Jar. How should people with sensitive skin incorporate Hope in a Jar into their daily routine?

  • Does powder/mineral makeup stick to Hope in a Jar in clumps?

  • Can Hope in a Jar be used under foundation, or are the moisturizers so potent that the foundation will slide/slip/wipe off the face if it sits on top of the Hope in a Jar?

  • Why should I stop using my current moisturizer and start using Hope in a Jar?

Hopefully these questions and more will be answered on the next QVC presentation. Hearing women "ooh-ing" and "aahh-ing" and "loooooov-ing" the Philosophy products taught me nothing and did not encourage me to purchase a single item. That was the most disappointing part of the entire weekend presentation.
