Philosophy Shower Gel...hand soap?

Hello...impossible to find liquid hand soap right now here in California, so I'm wondering if I can use Philosophy shower gel as hand soap? (My family goes through it like water as we have two essential workers living in our home.) I'm on autoship for the Beekman 1802 hand soap on HSN, but we go through it incredibly fast.
I have never bought Philosophy shower gel, so I don't know how thick it is, and whether it will flow through a hand soap dispenser.
Right now, The Q is offering two enormous bottles of the shower gel for a great price. In the presentation, Leah said it can be used as shower gel, shampoo and bubble bath, but I wasn't sure if it would work as hand soap. I would like to order the two giant bottles.
Many thanks to the smart beauty ladies here...and especially Philosophy users...for any guidance.

@MarnieRez3

I used to collect philosophy 3-in-1s and when I decided the madness had to stop, the only way I could make a dent in the collection was to use them at the sinks as hand soap.

Most of the foodie scents went straight to the kitchen.

Hands are part of your body so they should clean up just as well at the sink as they would in the shower.

Re: Philosophy Shower Gel...hand soap?

Any soap can be used for hand soap. I was using Dawn dishwashing liquid to wash my hands before I scored a big pump bottle of Dial Antibacterial soap left on the wrong shelf at Walgreens, and then found a trove of Lucky brand soap at the 99 cent store near me. Also, shampoo can be used for hand soap. Just a small squirt will do fine.

The important part is scrubbing it into your skin and making some friction with it between the fingers for at least 20 seconds before rinsing your hands.

Which soap, what soap, won't matter.

Yes you can use it as hand soap.  Same for any body wash. I am currently using Perlier body wash as hand soap in my bathroom.  I plan on refilling the Korres hand soap in my kitchen with body wash as well. I have a lot of body wash on hand so I decided I will use it up as hand soap, which is not something I stockpile.

Hi @MarnieRez3

The shower gels will work.  You may want to forgo putting them into other containers since the 32 oz sizes come with their own pump.

I expect you've noticed that some are transparent and some are creamy and opaque.  Just be aware that the creamier ones are messier to transfer from one container to another.

Happy philosophy handwashing!

I would think you could use the Philosophy shower gel for hand soap.

I just wanted to say, that I have ordered liquid hand soap from a B & B works online. I like to keep plenty of those and the Philosophy shower gels in my closet.

@MarnieRez3  It's a soap, so it should be fine for hand washing. It's pretty thick, so it might not pass through an automatic soap dispenser, but should work well with any manual dispenser. As another poster noted, they all come with their own pumps, so there's really no need to transfer the gel to another dispenser, especially at the rate you'll be using it.

[ Edited ]

@MarnieRez3 I have been using philosophy shower gel as hand soap for the past few weeks. As others mentioned the larger bottles have a pump so there is no need to transfer to another container. The philosophy lasts a long time as I only need a half pump to get great lather/clean hands. I was using several pumps of Softsoap to get the same result.
