Philosophy Shipment Methods

I received one of my sale orders yesterday. It was sent by FedEx SmartPost which means it is first transported to the post office and then delivered with my mail. The second one is 'on FedEx vehicle for delivery' today. Both orders were approximately the same size and I got free shipping. Wonder why the difference? Needless to say the second one didn't go all the way around the world the way the first one did.
