Philosophy Ballet Rose or Nude Rose...

I enjoy true, soft rose fragrances, ...not the artificial, "headache producing", cheap loud rose fragrances.

The nearest place for me to try or buy Philosophy fragrances is 120 miles away.

I would love to know from those who have tried and/or bought, which is your favorite?  Philosophy Ballet Rose or Nude Rose?

I haven't tried Nude Rose yet but have Ballet Rose and really like it because it's not too heavy. It smells like lightly scented roses.

Hi.  I you have tried Roses de Chloe by Chloe, Amazing Grace Ballet Rose is very similar.  Definitely a true rose scent, extremely feminine and pretty.  I don't like rose scents, but I do like Ballet Rose for some reason.  My favorites from Philosophy are: Baby Grace and Pure Grace mostly, but I also like Unconditional Love, Falling in Love and once in a blue moon Amazing Grace before I go to bed.  I have not tried Nude Rose yet but it seems to be a very faint smell of rose, a barely there kind of rose smell from what I've read.  I hope this helps.

@Quinny, the pure grace nude Rose is really nice too. Definitely not an artificial rose. I pre ordered the TSV and it arrived today, sprayed some on immediately, around 1pm eastern. At first it smellled a lot like pure grace and I did not detect much rose, but a few hours later the rose came out, and a bit of green notes too. It still has that clean vibe, but more feminine. I can still smell it in my inner elbow at 9pm and it’s not faint either. For me this one is a keeper, and love the longevity compared to other philosophy fragrances.

This is true!  I was wearing Ballet Rose, and someone complimented me and asked if I was wearing Chloe.  at that time, I didn’t know Chloe had a similar scent.

Thanks for the review.  When in Ulta I smelled both I think and liked one more than the other but could not remember which one.  I love pure grace so I guess I could not go wrong with that one.  Good to know the staying power is better.  While watching the presentation I sprayed the Amazing Grace parfum all over my t shirt and on my arms and could not really smell much and after a few minutes nothing at all.  I wish when I bought this from Ulta I had returned it.  In the past my clothes in the laudry basket would still smell good but now I can drench my shirt and smell nothing in a short while.

Re: Philosophy Ballet Rose or Nude Rose...

@chiclet, I know what you mean. Living grace was my go to for years and I’d smell it for days on my cardigan, etc. I tried the whole shebang this morning (shower gel, body cream and EDP) and it’s still going strong . The sillage isn’t huge, which is OK with me, but longevity seems really good. Nude rose needs a few hours to develop IMO and then it’s just lovely. Don’t judge it too soon.
