Re: Peter Thomas Roth - Too much plastic surgery??

[ Edited ]

this mentality on this board that you have of 'another new poster...' really is silly, patronizing, and should stop. it implies (or straight out SAYS) that if someone is new to a forum, their opinion doesn't matter until they reach 'x' amount of posts. that's something that little children on a playground say or think. 'this is my turf, because i've been here longer'.

i really don't have the time, nor the inclination, to have a posting goal. if you've posted 1,000+ posts, that's great! you can spend your time however you want. but don't belittle someone's opinon because they are a 'new poster'. we're all far too old and mature mentally to fall prey to that kind of thinking. it's disrespectful to imply that because anyone here is 'new' or doesn't have a certain amount of posts that their opinion is moot.

qvc is such a happy place to watch, that i'm really surprised at some of the people with so very many posts who have such a combative and unwelcoming response to so many new  posters. sad, really...

btw-good plastic surgery isn't supposed to look like you've had work done. you are supposed to look better... refreshed... not at like a different person. good work is supposed to leave people saying 'i don't know what they might have done, but boy they look great'. good work is subtle.

you get to try all of the lines and products when you work at sephora, so yes-i've tried a ton of his products. when a new product is released, you have to spend many hours reading the information on it, having live chats about it (from home, even), and watching video informercials on a libby (device) on all of the important new skincare launches.

strange, huh? Less harsh posts have been removed before.

Yep!  And a brand new poster decided to resurrect it and other brand new posters have contributed lots of posts about how PTR has definitely had plastic surgery.

Raise any suspicions, anyone?  (I personally wonder how many nics some posters have created.  I remember one, years back, who forgot once to switch out of one of her alter egos and ended up having a discussion with herself!  That was amusing.)

Just call me cynical.  (Note: many of us welcome genuine new posters all the time.  Just not when they decide to post for the first time solely to make negative, unfounded comments about a vendor or host.)

While I don't agree with bashing PTR, I agree with you on this.^^

Some of the posters here comment on every thread trying to up their numbers it seems. I have  been on this board since 2009 but have quit posting so much because of the snarkiness.  There are definitely some cliques and bullies on here.

I saw him on that TSV presentation and he doesn't even look like the same person -- I think it's a midlife crisis -- the black beard and black hair. He ain't no Liam from Vionic. LOL
