Perricone High Potency Amine Complex Question?

I just received two kits which both contain the High Potency Amine Complex. This item used to be a creamy white moisutizer in consistency; now it appears to be a white almost thick kind of serum. It is much less dense than before. Is this normal and is this because of the new formulation? I hope I didn't fork out $300 for two kits that are rotten! Thanks in advance for all your replies!
