I am getting a perm tomorrow (FINALLY) and I am wondering if anyone can recommend a no poo shampoo or a gentle one for curly hair. I have always used Wen but I am trying to wean off of it. Too many hair loss stories. First time I've had straight hair in over 30 years and I am hating it. Too thin, lifeless and too hard to keep curled. Yuck!!!

Kat, I'm bumping this because I notice you got no answers. Maybe you will the 2nd time around.

Since perms always tended to dry out my hair, you might want on directed toward dry hair. Sometimes they target "chemically processed" - perms, color, highlights.

Do you want a sulfate-free shampoo?

Drugstore or something higher end from Ulta?

Thank you Irishrose. I may check out Devacurl no poo. There is an Ulta across from the salon. I need to check out Bobbie Brown lipsticks also. Well don't need to but will do it anyways. Thank goodness that I rarely go to that mall.

A really nice sulfate free shampoo is Agadir sulfate free moisturizing shampoo. It has argon oil in it and is very nice! You can buy it at Sally beauty supply.

At sallysbeauty ION sulfate free color care in purple/white bottle is the best color safe poo i ever used. they also have a conditioner like color sealer that works great as well

I know that Aveda has a shampoo for curly hair but alba Botanica has a shampoo called Gentle shampoo that I own & is very nice. I just have a wave in my hair.
