Hi, Rochelle, last time I remember seeing you here was when you were over the moon over David Pollack's shampoo from Shop LC !!!

Re: Perlier’s Mother’s day Kits on HSN…

Yes @Shelbelle, I do like David's shampoo. I'd been using it when I traveled to my sister home. She has untreated very soft well water and my hair felt so noticbly fat. Now, home, with my city water, not so much. But in fairness I've only used it once here and will most definitely retry. I have multiples in mu stash 🤤.

I do use and really like many of David's other products from his Clinical Results, The Lab Direct and Silk Genesis lines. Have you used anything of his?

May 8th (I think that's the correct date) is his 8th anniversary at ShopLC. There should be some good pricing along with new products as well.

Hello  Hello!!! Geez, I forgot about that Mandorla comment. I just remember being sorely disappointed.  Did anybody else agree with me or was I the odd (wo)man out? 🤔

You surely have alot of experience with the Perlier Honey scents. Good to know and much appreciated. I saw a review under the Mother's Day kits complaining about the Honey Lemon scent. I bet it may have been old stock.  It can happen.

What's your opinion of the Honey Lemon scent?  (these kits are still the same price with free shipping)

Not familiar with the Miele di Sorrento at all but I had to chuckle at myself for thinking of Sorrento Mozzarella cheese, lol.

@rochelleS  It's been a long time since I've used the Honey Lemon, and I don't know if the scent has changed.  If I remember correctly, some people initially thought it smelled more like Tropicana Orange Juice  - curious if your nose gets that.  I do prefer some other Lemon scents like Korres Basil Lemon and Philosophy Lemon Custard (both very different) but I do remember liking Honey Lemon enough to buy more which is in my stash.

As to Mandorla, when you put the thought of play dough in my head, I could see it!  I did keep it, but not one I would probably repurchase.  Unfortunately, that is true of nearly all the newer Perlier scents I've tried the last few years, so I guess it's good I have such a large stash of the ones I know I enjoy much more.

I don't get any sense/scent of Tropicana OJ in the Perlier Honey Lemon at all. Just a soft Lemon. No sharpness or edgy citrus that a citrus scent may be characteristic of. Likely the Honey in this combo that softens it, imo. I would've liked it to have a bit more Lemon depth and longevity. But that's just me liking a Lemon fragranced body cream. Korres Citrus, which I purchased when the new Rosemary Flower(luv) scent came out, is a really lovely citrus fragrance. A bit more complex in the notes but still leaning delicate with a  presence.

I have to be careful with basil in scents. I've found it to grab with my chemistry and reads very acerbic on my skin, and not in a good way. It's akin to an unpleasant, gaggy guys cheap aftershave. Chaz has a popular Cucumber Basil edp that i thought would be a certain shoo in, but this is where  I had the hard awakening with basil. Yet... because of @World Traveler's many positive comments of loving the Korres Basil Lemon...I tried it during a twofer sale. Initially a bit wary, but my goodness, I can successfully wear this!

Many years ago I purchased both a Lemon and Honey lotion made by Bella. Made for pregnancy and new Mom's. Each scent was so clear  bright and authentic. Truly amazing. Holy Grail fragrances in a skinny lotion that lingered in just the perfect way. Then of course, no longer available for the longest time. Last I saw only the Lemon  on their site. No more of that ethereal Honey, the very best of what I've ever used. I was very sad to see that.

I went back into the Mandorla threads and saw many love the scent and ancillary offerings. Good for everyone who is pleased and happy using the products. And like you, once something gets in my head or nose it's hard to erase and easy to move on.

I like the Perlier Date. The Musk is ok and the Olivarium is a bit too masculine for me in spite of loving many masculine leaning unisex edp's. The beat goes on. Always something around the corner (or in our stash) for all of us to explore and enjoy!
