Re: Perlier - Upcoming Shows for July/August

[ Edited ]

YOU HAVE A GREAT MEMORY World Traveler!!!!  XO

I DO HAVE A MINI COSMETIC FRIG IN MY BEDROOM THAT I DID GET FOR MY LANCER AND OTHER SKINCARE ITEMS.

AT THIS POINT, I STORE MY BEAUTYBIO FACIAL ROLLERS AND MY FACE SERUMS.  HAVE NO CREAMS IN THERE RIGHT NOW.

THEY SAY IT IS BEST TO HAVE YOUR FACIAL OILS AT ROOM TEMPERATURE, BUT I DID STORE MY LANCER OMEGA OIL AT ONE POINT, AND IT WAS FINE.

LOVE MY FRIG!

@JudyL  No problem. Smiley Happy   I don't mind disclosing what part of the world I live in.

Now, for you and @weez1987 and anyone else........do you store your beauty items in the refrigerator? I'm pretty sure @weez1987 once said on a Lancer thread that she bought a small refrigerator for her products, one that is specifically for that purpose.

Although it doesn't get hot where I live, I have so many now with Perlier that I got on sale, that it will be a while before I get to them. Thought it might be a good idea; so much so, that I have already put some in a bottom drawer of my refrigerator.

Also, if it is a good idea to do that, are there some beauty products that should NOT be put in the refrigerator, like the oils?

@World Traveler

The only beauty product I have in the refrigerator is my Timeless Vit C.  Otherwise all other skin care, bath and body products are in Pereira boxes in my closet.  Some are in plastic drawer organizers on a shelf in my closet.

An update on my communication with Perlier's Customer Service regarding Skip's indication when he was last on HSN that the oil should go on FIRST, before anything else is done to a clean face.

My question to them was, "What about retinol?  Don't retinoids go on first?"

They emailed back and asked for clarification saying that it depended upon which oil I was talking about. I said he was talking about the Perlier's Royal Elixir Oil of Youth Restorative Treatment, the oil that always sells out immediately.

I heard back this morning and they said: "Typically, oils are the last to be applied, but with this restorative night treatment you can apply it before any moisturizing creams (if using). When using a retinol, apply that first, then the oil, then your usual moisturizer. Also, this is best to be applied at night, when your body's natural cell regenerative is happening." I recall Skip saying to use the oil night and day.

As to my other question to them, about what order to use their Royal Elixir line of products, the answer was:

  • Cleanser
  • Toner
  • Water-based serums (such as hyaluronic acid, niacinamide)
  • Retinol
  • Other serums (if using a booster serum, apply that before the other serums)
  • Moisturizing creams
  • Oil

Since they are mentioning retinol in the list above, it is surprising it isn't mentioned to use right after cleansing, since the answer before that said retionol should be applied first.

I think as someone mentioned earlier, just get the darn products on your face! ha!

I believe I will stick with my routine at night of cleansing, then retinol, then serums, followed by anything else in the order of thinnest to thickest, ending up with the oil to seal it all in. If that doesn't work for me after doing that for a week, then I give up! LOL! I don't want to overthink it!

@World Traveler I wouldn't over think it.  Most companies (including Skip) when he is on says there is no right or wrong way.  They even suggest  to cocktail them together.  I am currently using LePrunier and they say to put the oil on before any serums or moisturizers.

@World Traveler

I'm all for the "not over thinking it" way to do things.  I'm sticking with how I do my skin care and the order in which I do things.  Seems to be working fine for me.
