I use PTR's retinol also and put that on first after cleansing.  Let it absorb while brushing my teeth, then go on with the rest of my nightly skin care.

@JudyL  Thanks! I'll do it that way. As you can see from my last post, I caved on the oil.

@World Traveler

Hope you like the oil.  I've decided oils aren't for me so don't use them at all anymore.  Know that a lot of posters on the Beauty Forum love and use them, but for me, they just never worked out - and I tried a few different brands.

@WorldTraveler ..... So happy that you have the opportunity to try out so many products at the great prices. It's so much fun to sample within a beauty line that works for you! Over the years, I've been able to try many products from the Perlier line. Even when I stray to try other brands, Perlier surpasses everything (especiallythe royal elixir products)! Have fun sampling!

@JudyL  I'll let you know how it goes. I can always return it, but hate to do that unless something is damaged or just stinks to high Heaven!

I too haven't been into oils, and actually I can't remember ever trying them for the face. I occasionally use oils on my scalp to keep it healthy.

@JUDYFL  Thanks! It appears I intend to continue to "have fun sampling"! LOL!

To be honest, it is really hard not to try this line with such low prices. I haven't paid full price for anything. And the FREE shipping is nothing to sneeze at; it makes it even easier to purchase!

I'm listening to Skip talk about the Youth Oil and he said to put it on first. What if you use retinol or retin-A? In what order would you use his oil? Before or after any retin/retinol product?

He may have said what the order is and I missed it.

@World Traveler - I have the Youth Oil on AS.  I randomly alternate it with Skinn Manuka Oil and RMS Beauty Oil because I like them all. My idea is to eventually let two of them run out and stick with one, but we'll see.

Anyway, I always do my PM skincare sometime between 6:30 & 8:30.  This is where the oil would be included.  I don't put it on first, though.  I do an essence, serum(s), oil and moisturizer.  Let that all absorb.

When we go to bed, around 9:30/10:00, that's when I apply my full strength prescription Tretinoin.

@JeanLouiseFinch That is the order that I put my skin care on oil & then moisturizer.

I always wonder if that's right or not, @Pecky.  Sometime I cocktail the oil and moisturizer to get it done quicker.  I guess the important thing is just to get it on. LOL

If any of you purchase some Perlier after watching their shows today and tomorrow, please post what you got.

I don't believe there is anything I will be buying, but I am very interested in learning more about the Black Rice line, so who knows.....maybe I will pick up something.

I ended up getting some of the Snowdrop Eau De Toilette spray.

This is a great price for it. I used to wear it years ago and on the more recent video clip for it, Skip was saying that it may be years before it comes back again.

I do understand what he's saying, because we don't always see it available.

I also picked up the new Berry Blossom 3 piece kit with the cute little bag. The description of it sounds so pretty, and I love anything berry.

With these products and what I ordered from their site, I'm all set. Smiley Happy Heart

I usually order when they have sales--either at HSN or on their site.

@JeanLouiseFinch @Pecky  It has always been my understanding from listening to various beauty vendors over the years that you put the thinnest product (usually serums) on your face first, then layer on top of each one until the thickest item, which is usually the moisturizer. That certainly was the way Perricone always said to do it when I was using his products exclusively; but like I said, I have heard it from other vendors too.

So to read that you do it differently (retin not first), but obviously have great results or you wouldn't continue to do it that way, is surprising.

I may keep doing it thinnest to thickest for a month or two, and then switch it to the way you both do it, just to see if I notice a difference. And I suppose the usual "everyone's skin is different" falls into play here too.

@Toppers3  That Snowdrop was enticing. Berry Blossom sounds good too. Enjoy!

I would like to say like you did, that "i'm all set," but I find that doesn't stop me. Definitely need intervention.

And then he comes back in August. Good grief, what more could he possibly bring to us? It's like a train wreck is about to happen; you shouldn't look, but you can't help but  peek anyway!

Did he ever say why his mom wasn't with him?
