Re: Perfume question please

[ Edited ]

@lynnie61  Yes, I own too many.  But my Pacifia scents (I have indulged in all my favorite scents) are inexpensive and appeal to my ethical lifestyle,  I haven't purchased recently ....my husband keeps me stocked up with La Vie est Belle.

Enjoy and use every day to remind you of your beauty.  Eventually, you will pare down.

It’s nice if you can narrow the playing field of aromas and find your signature flavor or just a few (may be seasonal). I have always loved compliments I have received even if I have left the room they know I was there...

i stick with perfumes or at least eau de parfume (EDP).  My favs are Ralph Lauren Blue and Chanel No. 5. I have crazy body chemistry and these work better for me.  You sound young - I am not  🙁 .  @lynnie61 You’ll figure it out and have fun along the way.

I would lose my mind if I had that much perfume, ha, ha!

I have two bottles open now...once I had three open at once and swore to myself I would not do that again.  For me, it's about not having to much at one time, I have been in a less is more frame of mind for a few years.

But I am that way with most things, including excess food in the house.

Now I have to admit I probably have more clothes that I need but that's another thread!

@lynnie61

I love fragrance as my mom and aunts did . When they were alive I always brought them perfume and we loved to sample each others it was so much fun. They are all gone now,and fragrances holds such special memories for me . I have 2 bottles of 7 Virtues fragrances and a bottle of Diorissmo by Christian Dior from the late 1980's . I use only cruelty free brands now and when I want to try something knew I always buy samples to try. Many of these indie brands sell samples of fragrances so you can really try one out before you take the plunge.

@lynnie61  I like variety too but you beat me out.  Start buying smaller bottles.  I have about 5 perfumes I rotate with depending on my mood.  I even own body lotions that match 2 of the perfumes to get a more intense scent because the scent always fades so fast.

If you use different perfumes all the time, try to spray in an area where the rest of your clothes are elsewhere.

Clothes pick up and retain the droplets:  your today’s scent may be getting mixed with previous ones.

@phoenixbrd

Hi Pacifica was the first brand I tried when I went cruelty free . I love florals so I enjoyed Persian Rose and Island Gardenia . I also like their sugared flowers shave cream .

@marmarbrooklyn   Glad you discovered Pacifica, as you know, wonderful fragrances that are reasonable and best of all cruelty-free.  Persian Rose is my all time favorite and I frequently blend with the others.  When they go on sale (Sprouts has had them at 20% off), I replenish any that are close to empty. Enjoy your beautiful scents!Woman Wink

I have twelve spray bottles open, plus a bunch of roller balls.  I wear them according to my mood and what I'm going to be doing.  Cleaner and fresher for work, sexy and sultry for date night, etc.  One of them is particularly old and I've been contemplating chucking it, but I'm not so good at throwing away perfectly good things.  It's D&G Light Blue, and it was a gift from someone I hate, but it still smells good!  I think variety is the spice of life and I like a lot of choices in perfume, and in everything in life.  I keep them all on a beautiful etched mirrored tray on my dresser and they look so pretty.  I'm a girly girl, that's for sure.  Enjoy your scents and wear them in happiness.
