Have been thinking about adding a Peptide product in my evening routine. So did some research this morning about what they were and why they were good for the skin.
Have some questions for anyone that uses a Peptide product:
Can you use it in the same routine as retinol? There were a few conflicting reports online about whether or not you can do so. I would be using a retinol product first, then I would put on other serums, etc.
What Peptide product do you use/recommend?
Edited to add: Looking more at a serum product than a cream or moisturizer product.
Thanks ladies!

Yes, I use several peptide products and they mix well with retinol.
I use Paula's Choice Peptide serum morning and night. I use Peter Thomas Roth's Peptide 21 moisturizer and matching eye cream in the morning, although they are well suited for nighttime use as well. I just happen to use another line-up at night.
I just received Naturium's Peptide moisturizer & eye cream, but haven't started using it yet. I'm hoping to love it as much as Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21, as it will save me some money.
Peter Thomas Roth's Peptide 21 moisturizer & eye cream work WONDERFULLY under make-up, which is why I love it so much. I'll let you know if the Naturium exceeds my expectations!

Peptides are fine with retinol, as far as I know. There are products that are formulated using both.
My peptide products include:
Skinn Age Reset Serum (a staple for years, on a HSN A/S)
Skinn Creme Reverse Moisturizer
Skinn Pep 40 Creme Riche Moisturizer

Peptide chemistry is complicated but basically they are classified into four different groups. They are compatible with most skincare products except with BHAs, AHAs and most any other kind of acid products b/c the acid destroys peptide structure.
This chart is a very basic one but it shows some commonly used peptides. There are dozens more out in the market and more being invented often....and yes, Botox is also a peptide.

Isomers with all 4 matrixyls in it are a good way to introduce them to your routine. You can find a lot of inexpensive peptide serums and creams on ebay and amazon.

That's what I use too.

@JudyL Thought I'd mention...
In all honesty, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about how much $$$ I'm spending on skincare, and I keep waivering. One minute, I'm ready to quit most of my Skinn products. And the next minute, I'm trying to logically defend staying with them, As much as I've got no complaints about the things I'm using, I know I'll have to make some changes when we're living on retirement income. So I keep asking myself, why prolong it? I've been seriously considering returning to the Mizon Peptide Serum I used b/f Skinn, when I was using all Korean products. It's affordable and has a nice mix of ingredients. I believe my mind is finally made up to make the change.
Water, Methylpropanediol, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Copper Tripeptide-1, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Beta-Glucan, Glycine, Tocopherol, Serine, Glutamic Acid, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Potassium Hyaluronate, Aspartic Acid, Leucine, Pentylene Glycol, Alanine, Lysine, Arginine, Tyrosine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Proline, Valine, Isoleucine, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Histidine, Methionine, Cysteine, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Phosphatidylcholine, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, sh-Oligopeptide-1, Oligopeptide-29, Oligopeptide-32, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, sh-Polypeptide-1, sh-Oligopeptide-2, sh-Polypeptide-22, Phenoxyethanol

@JeanLouiseFinch I have been using Skinn Pep-40 Serum & Moisturizer in the evenings, but I have to say, especially the serum, I'm just not happy with it. I have cancelled my AD of them, but have one more AD to open and finish. However, I'm going to take a break from the serum and use the new Timeless Matrixyl Synthe 6 Serum I just got. It's only one main ingredient, but I'm kinda impressed at the lack of extraneous ingredients. It's a total of 7 ingredients include the water and 2 preservatives. It's a 2% Matrixyl formulation. I'll try check out the Mizon product.
One of my complaints with the Skinn serum is how thick it is. To me, a serum should be a thinner product. The M Asam serum I use is a cream, but it doesn't seem as thick as the Skinn product. So far, I just haven't been wow'd by his products. His exfoliator is way too strong a grit for me, the Manuka Honey product felt sticky, and now this.

I'm with you! Although I don't use Skinn, I do use a handful of Peter Thomas Roth products. I really do love them, but these days, with the state of the economy, I'm seriously thinking of replacing them with less expensive products. I'm glad that I have found Naturium because it does NOT disappoint. I don't want to "settle" for less expensive skincare if it isn't efficacious. I'm getting ready to start using my Naturium peptide products, so I really do hope I love it as much as PTR.

@JeanLouiseFinch and @Icegoddess
It so interesting you both mention the SKINN products for different reasons. While I really like his cleansers and the exfoliators that I use, I have not been all that impressed with the Age Reset Serum and am using it now to just use it up. I will stick with what I like from his line and let the rest go.
I ended up doing some more research and found that the Timeless COQ10 serum that I use and that is reasonably priced, hits all the marks that a Peptide serum does so have decided to stick with that. Almost done with one bottle and have one in my stash. Don't feel the need after doing the additional research to add another product to my routine.
Need to remind myself that sometimes adding another product is not always necessary.
