Re: Peach Fuzz - Which Gadget

I just use a razor. It's cheap and effective.

Those of you who use a dry razor, doesn't it burn your skin or irritate it? Just wondering. I'd like to try this but am afraid of problems since my stupid skin is so easily irritated. Thanks.

Nope.

On the occasions that I use my razor dry for a quick touch-up, I hold the skin taut (usually my 'mustache' area) and carefully shave.

Afterwards, I just smooth some 100% aloe vera gel on it (my fave is by "Fruit of the Earth"). This will soothe any irritation and/or redness.

If you have access to an aesthetician who offers "deplaning", give it a try. She uses a straight edge razor and goes over my entire face, removing all hair and LOTS of dead, dry skin. It's t he best!

I use the Emjoi eRase - have for over a year.

Razors & depilatories irritated my skin. Epilating removes the hair with no irritation.

Yes, same here, a razor. My family doctor's sister is a derm doctor and he suggested this since all the ladies in his office do this as well as in his wife's practice. No, won't come in darker or coarse but yes, does exfoliate and is why you don't see as many lines/wrinkles on a mans face as you do a ladies, usually anyway.

This is due to the contortions that a man makes while shaving, i.e., exercising the facial muscles.
