I just recently discovered this website and am very impressed . The factual information on cosmetic & skincare claims , seems very objective and backed by science . It's a great help when trying to find the right makeup or skincare for one's specific needs . The product reviews don't appear to be driven by sales goals or marketing ........I'm tired of buying products based on sales spiels and chance . Tired of returning items that don't work out , or finding only one item in a set that works well for me . Read lots of interesting info on product claims so far .....some confirm claims & other info totally disproves them . Researching product claims first , is the only way I'll be purchasing products in the future . I'll still buy from the vendor with the best prices , just reading up on claims first and learning if it's the right product for me . I'm already very pleased with my first purchase , after reading about it at P.C. first .

Blueskies, I'm glad you found Paula's site. I agree that it dispenses excellent advice. I have several of her products and have been pleased both with their performance and price, and the excellent customer service. Twice I sent detailed emails with specific questions and I got replies in 24 to 48 hours, with very detailed information.

You can feel confident buying from Paula because she stands behind her products.

I've always thought Beautypedia was an invaluable resource. I was a subscriber before Paula made it free. She made the decision right after I paid for my subscription and I was a tad annoyed. And then I was shocked when I was contacted by the company about a refund.

But Paula is one smart cookie. I could have taken the refund or put the total towards a Paula's Choice product. I went with the product and I've been a loyal customer ever since.

I love the way that woman does business.

I've become quite reliant upon it since I discovered it! Have you done this yet? Standing in a store with phone in hand scrolling through the 'best' on a particular item and running down aisles trying to find them?? " Excuse me but where are your Boots cleansers? Excuse me again but where is your Alpha Hydrox?" And of course not every item in a line is well rated so there you are scrolling again...I like that her own products come in sample sizes that you can try first without spending a bunch. I've purchased the AHA 10% and the AHA 10% Body lotion. Its pretty awesome..Yes I love the site, and I love that the write ups are all supported by actual research and that you can peruse the relevant articles

I agree, I use her site all the time. I don't always follow her advice, or agree with her recommendations, but I love that Beautypedia helps me understand the products that I'm using.

So many great comments . HAPPY ELIZABETH , I forgot about that benefit .....understanding the products & how to use them to their fullest potential ........... ANDREATOO , lol, the store scene is pretty funny , but at least you spent your money well I've just used the site on my computer while watching tv presentations , and it's been invaluable . Wow . Consumers are at such a disadvantage without sites like hers ! It's the consumer reports for beauty / skincare products ! ............JUSTBEE ,that's a great story . I agree that a business is only as good as how well it treats its customers . " Word-of-mouth " is the best advertising they say . And a company can spend millions in marketing , but that will only get them so far . Especially in this economy , people don't appreciate wasting money .

IRISHROSE , glad you also had a positive experience with them . Its good to know you can depend on good customer service like that . I've often bought skincare / makeup at cvs & they're great about returns / no questions asked . I actually loved a line/ foundation they sold ; it was inexpensive but had the best texture & lasted all day . Unfortunately that line discontinued it ! So , I've turned to Paula's for my foundation now . .........SUZYQ3 & MYSHELL 624 , happy to hear your positive reviews too !
