I think she is good and knows her stuff, but I got a catalog from her and all the models had to under 40 or less. It was not from good skin care,  you can tell.

I wrote to her and she is here too, so Paula, whats up with the kid models?

Have you looked at a photo of Paula B.?  She looks amazing.  I've been using her products since 1995 and love the fact that it is color-free, fragrance-free, no animal testing, 60 day guarantee and not in jars, but the correct packaging to keep the ingredients stable without losing their potency.  I always wait until free shipping and 20% off sale.

She looks nothing like she did when I read her first book.

Clearly, she has had a lot of cosmetic surgery. Her skincare may be wonderful but her appearance isn't necessarily because of it...

Since I don't believe that topicals can make much of a difference at any age, I just buy products that I think help keep my skin hydrated and toned. So I buy one of her moisturizers, one of her toners, and her BHA Liquid 2%.

I don't care about her models, and I certainly don't care whether she has had work done.

Her skincare is the best ever and yes it does make a huge difference. Use her 1% retinol and bah and moisturizers and vit c and you will see a significant change. My skin at 57 is beautiful and it is mainly due to her and staying out of the sun.

I'm a Paula's Choice newbie (1year) and ❤️ it! There are a few items I've tried that were just okay, but I have found my base items that I won't be without. I love her Resist for dry skin line!

Paula Begoun has had a lot of plastic surgery but she's been open about her procedures and has never claimed that her looks are only from her skin care line. She talked about her facelift a couple of years ago and the recovery when she had her podcasts. She's always been open about getting Botox and fillers and at a book signing I went to she said she had complications from Artecoll which left her with some numbness on the area between her nose and upper lip. I could also tell that she had developed a granuloma or some kind of lumpiness as it showed when she smiled but not so much when she didn't.

I have been with Paula since I was in my 20's. I got her bi-monthly newsletter (anyone else remember that?), and jumped when she came out with her line. As a frequent flyer around that time, I had her mini set of skin care items that I took everywhere!

I still use her skincare products, but not her makeup.

Sadly, she too has been "bought out" twice, and I'm not sure how much input she has in the development of her products any longer. This was a statement from the company that originally bought it. It has been sold again to TA Associates (in 2016).

"The Bertram consumer team, led by Ryan Craig and Tom Beerle, successfully executed our differentiated value creation strategy to build a true omnichannel retailer in just over three years," said Jeff Drazan, Managing Partner. "By combining the vision of Paula Begoun, the innovation of our team of specialists at Bertram Labs, and the hard work of our management team, we succeeded in rapidly growing the business, the brand, and company value."

Notice "the vision of Paula Begoun." I take that to mean she might not be as involved any longer.

I'm always skeptical when these small companies are sold to mega-sized companies. Those companies are always concerned about "growth," which is my mind is "get as much product out as you can, as fast as you can, even if you have to change some of the original ingredients."

This is only my opinion, but this is what I've experienced.

Yes, Paula does look great.  However, she has had "work" done and has stated as such.

I like her open ness, and this is why I am surprised she did not use age appropriate models.

I like when they show before and afters with older women, then you really see if it works.
