Yes, I've been an enabler for decades. My husband used to tell me I should get paid for all the products I help sell. I worked for Google for a few months. "Work" is a loose term. They asked me to volunteer as a community tech support person. I was doing that already! No perks for being "official" tho. Oh wait, I did get a Google t-shirt lol
OK, so you got the new battery Google doorbell but you hardwired it. I might ask DH at some point but for now it will be battery powered. I already have a Wyze Pan Cam on the front porch (attatched to the window). It turns 360 degrees. Don't know yet if I can take down the Wyze cam or if both will have a roll. The doorbell doesn't pan but the FOV is good.
I don't know the size of an iPad and I'm sure they come in different sizes so do you have the Nest Hub Max? It's 10" and also you have 2 7" Hubs?
One thing of interest, if you have two of the same sku (for instance two Hub Max, or two minis or two 7", you can pair them for stereo sound. But they have to be two of the exact same product. Not a Max and a Mini.
Welcome to a world where Google knows ALL but be careful in a world where Google knows all. I tell people if you're concerned about privacy issues, don't get an AI. Apple and Google (and Siri) will all tell you you're safe. Nothing is being kept in the cloud. No one is listening. It's a lie. They are, they can. Was it Apple or Amazon that's already been caught. Google says they listen to bits and pieces to improve their devices. No personal identification is supposed to be known. Whatever. The capabilities are there. No one in their right mind would have invited these devices into their homes 75 years ago. Anyone trying to sell them would probably have ended up being burned at the stake. Baby steps. First we embraced tracking devices in our pets in case they got lost. Great idea! But that was just the beginning. Then satellite tracking in our cars in case we had an accident. Still, a good idea. Then cell phones and smart wearables. Cameras at every intersection. How easy was it to sell the idea that we needed these "spies" in our homes? REAL easy! But I digress...
You can ask it to play any kind of sounds for sleep...waves, ocean, rain, rain on a tin roof, storms (thunder), a crackling fire, blizzard, YT sleep sounds will last for hours and hours and hours. If you find that Google's sleep sounds don't last long enough, after it starts playing the sound, then say "HG, play this for 8 hours" You can also wake up to your favorite song or radio station. Gotta go. Google just reminded me it's time to take some medication. I'd be totally lost without my assistants!
