Pared Down Makeup

I'm seriously considering going through all of my makeup and paring it down to the basics. I'm really tired of rummaging through everything to decide what to use. I'm going to decide my favorite daytime look and my best night time look and get rid of the rest. Maybe I'll have 2 lipstick choices for day and 2 for night/dress up.

The idea is very appealing to me. Has anyone done this? Do you think it is too drastic? What might I be forgetting to consider?

Lost in my makeup bag! Help needed!
