There has been a lot of talks about pallets and pallet addiction. Mally's Easy on the Eyes Buff 2 palette was my first palette and suddenly I became addicted and added 6 palettes to my collection in 6 mos! So how many do you have? What is your favorite and what are you pining for? I have Tarte's Gorgous Getaway holiday set, another Tarte palette from an AD. It has two blushes and 6 shadows. 2 Mally Easy on the Eyes palettes (one more coming next month!) and a Lorac Unzipped and Pro palette. Of these the Lorac Pro is my favorite. They are so creamy, heavily pigmented, so blendable and I am loving that matte top row so now I am pining for the It Pretty palette and the new Tarte Mattenificent. I am kind if interested in Too Faced Chocolate Bar but I am already heavy on brown neutrals.

Re: Palettes - lets discuss!

OMG- was JUST going to start a thread about palettes!

OK...my name is Janie, and I am addicted to eye shadow palettes. LOL!

Right now my favs are:

Trish McEvoy palette- the one you could buy on her website without a planner. GREAT travel palette as it also includes an eye definer (powder liner) and eye brow product. Colors are very soft.

LONG time Fav- Smashbox Photo Op Mega Palette (sold on Q a couple years ago)Includes every eye shadow shade Smashbox had ever made.

Lorac Pro Palette- these have to be the CREAMIEST eye shadows I have ever tried- LOVE this one!

Coastal Scents Revealed Palette- one word - GORGEOUS!! (also, when you order from them they send you a couple other colors thrown it- I got a small palette of 4 one of which is my new #1 fav go to shadow. It is called Rainstorm. Check it out!!) These are also some nicely pigmented, rich , buttery, long lasting shadows.

BE palette- it is gold hard cased, and contains 4 beautiful, blendable shadows and a wonderful blush shade.

What I am lusting over right now is:

Ready Shadow Quad in The Comfort Zone

Lorac Unzipped

Naked 3

It Pretty Matte

still looking for my perfect all shades of grey palette..... a girl can dream LOL

LOL Janie! So even though you have Unzipped you are still pining for Naked 3? I was totally pining for that one. I was ready to buy it but ended up with the Unzipped and figured they were too similar.

Are these formulas about the same? It looks like it from what I can tell from YouTube tutorials. Thanks!

Re: Palettes - lets discuss!

I used to be addicted to palettes, but finally figured out that I never like enough of the colors. So. I love my Mac palettes that I can buy whatever color that I want & put in there. I had the Lorac Pro Palette, but I had bought a couple of Lorac sets from somewhere else that had my favorite color, so I got rid of the palette. Depotted the shadows & they are in my Mac Palette, too. Mac does have 2 15 pan palettes (One cool neutral. One warm neutral.) coming out that I want, but I hope I can restrain myself. I've just got my collection down to a manageable amount!

Re: Palettes - lets discuss!

I LOVE my Kat Von D Saint palette- perfect "neutral" palette for us girls that have a hard time finding browns/bronze colors that don't read reddish at all. LOVE. I also love her Laydbird matte palette.

I also love Too Faced Naked Eye soft and sexy palette.

I have a few more palettes of various brands, including Mally's I love color palette and I do like all the palettes I have but the ones I mentioned are the ones I tend to use the most and ones in which I use every single color.

Re: Palettes - lets discuss!

I have a too faced neutral eye, a tarte eyeshadow pallet, and I got the too faced favorite things for christmas. I then have a bunch of assorted drugstore quads. I love pallets.

Re: Palettes - lets discuss!

I am in eyeshadow palette recovery and doing quite well. {#emotions_dlg.lol}

About a year ago, I went on a rampage and ended up with nine or ten of them -- Lorac Pro, UD matte, YBF matte, two Stilas, two Skinns, a two-face one matte one, and Thebalm Meet the Matte(s).

They all have their pluses and some minuses. But I still find myself going back to the singles I have and love from Laura Mercier.
