Re: Paging myshell624...............

That's a good idea about using my Retinol Serum just on my spots. I just used it on my neck and chest last night and didn't use it tonight because I did the microdermabrasion again. I have been doing yard work today and really felt my face needed a good scrub.

I think it's great that you order Korean products for your daughter and use some yourself. That stinks about getting woke up so early but at least you got some shopping done. I live in the country so it's pretty quiet here. I know that I am going to order the lip serum but I don't know if I will get anything else this week or not. I have a eye cream and another cream I am using on my neck that I need to finish up.

Emu oil is in the lightening cream I am using. I was hesitant about using emu oil until I read about it on the internet. Some posters on here mentioned the birds were killed to get the oil. While this is how they get the oil, they also package and sell emu meat. I don't eat emu meat but I do eat poultry and meat so as long as the birds are killed for food purposes I don't have a problem with it. I did email ASDM about being cruelty free and they said they are but they do use emu oil in some of there products. I didn't see emu oil on their website with the other oils. Where did you find it? I might try it when I finish the oil I am using.

Re: Paging myshell624...............

When I checked out ASDM they had the Emu Oil on there, now they don't. I found it under ASDM of Beverly Hills, Emu Oil. The weird thing is that the seller says that she is ASDM. Rather confusing. I would never looked into Emu oil but when my face first became irritated I looked online for help and many people said to use Emu oil. So I then looked it up and found out all the benefits of it. I then bought some at Vita Cost but I did not care for the shipping cost. In a million years I would never have thought I would use emu oil or snail slime. I also checked into rose hip and jojoba oils but the ladies here seem mixed on them so I figured why incorporate any more oils. I am a bit of a hypocrite, I love meat but hate cruelty to animals. I try to put it into some perspective like how animals are bred for food but occasionally I feel quilty. On the other hand I've rescued 38 cats and 5 dogs in my life time so I weigh the good and the bad.

I don't think you are a hypocrite at all. I just don't see the need to test on animals for cosmetics when so much is known about ingredients and their safety all ready. I don't think it is wrong of us to eat them.

Way to go on all those animal adoptions. I adopted a Chihuahua mix last October. I have a long way to go to catch up with you. It was such a wonderful experience. I will adopt again.

I only adopted two, one cat and one dog. Somehow I just got the rest. Stray kittens, abused dogs. Over 25 years I have found homes for 23 kittens and 2 of the dogs. Plus I've had 4 non-rescue dogs as well. I must be crazy, lol.

Re: Paging myshell624...............

We have got a lot of stray animals over the years. It is sad that people just drop them off without any care about how they will eat or get water. We found my cat Bella as a stray. She was about four months when we found her. That was 7 years ago.

Let me know when you get your order. I look forward to hearing how you like it. I am going to order the lip serum today. I don't have lines around my lips but I do have them on my lips. I did start using skincare in my early 20s but I never thought about properly caring for my lips.

Hope you have a great week. I have a lot of yard work I am trying to get done. I'm trying to time it so I can work where the shade is.

I received the emu oil and I like that it is a pump bottle. The other one I have does not have the pump from Vita Cost.

Re: Paging myshell624...............

I love that the vitamin c serum is in a pump. Most oils come with a dropper which is ok but I prefer a pump for them too. My lip serum has shipped so hopefully I will have it in a day or two.

Did you order the sunscreen to try? I was thinking about it. Even though I love the one I am using, theirs is a bigger size and better value than what I'm using. I think I have about a couple of weeks of my current one left so I either need to order theirs to try or reorder the one I've been using. I like a physical sunscreen with a tint. There are good reviews for it on the website.
