Hi. You mentioned a dupe for hidden valley ranch powdered mix. Would you mind sharing your version? I try to eat natural and to avoid additives/preservatives/etc. and have not liked any of the more 'natural' packets of dressing/dip mixes that I have tried. Also have not been able to mix my own that I am happy with. TIA ~smiles, SnowKita

  2. 2
Add the parsley, onion and dill.
  3. 3
    Pulse to almost dust.
  4. 4
Pour into a bowl and add the remaining ingredients.
  5. 5
Mix well and store for up to 1 year in an airtight container.

to use~ Add 1 and 1/2 Tablespoon mix with 1 cup Best Food mayo and 1 cup buttermilk.
Mix well and serve.

snowkita

I cut the recipe in half, unless I am making gifts. It makes a lot of dry mix, concidering you only use 1.5 T at a time!! I make the mixture all organic, but of course that is ones preference. I stored the mixture in a Ball Canning Jar, and refrigerated. It lasted over a year. I made the mistake of leaving one in the cupboard for long time. The crackers go stale and you can tell in the dressing.

Another hint I use Veganaise instead of best Foods Mayo, and 1% buttermilk. But it is richer with whole buttermilk.

I bought my parsley dried on amazon. One time I actually bought parsley (2 huge bunches) and dehydrated it in the oven. I removed stems when dried and crumbled the flower part. Tastes better. But more work

It does take a couple hours to set up thick in the fridge after you have made your dressing.

good luck!
