I got the Babo Botanicals sunscreen today. So far I really like it. It is thick. I warmed it up with my fingers before applying it. That worked really well. It is a tad sticky when you first put it on but it goes away quickly. I haven't done my skincare and makeup yet today. My daughter has a cold so I've been hanging with her on the couch watching cartoons. I just applied the sunscreen over my nighttime products. My face feels nice and soft.

Have you got yours yet? I look forward to hearing what you think.

I just checked the tracking -- not scheduled for delivery until Saturday, darn it.

I got a new Suntegrity and it's really heavier than I'd remembered. I kept referring to it as emollient, but someone posted on another thread "heavy" and that's really more accurate. Like the Babo, it goes on thicker, but disappears pretty quickly. I just slathered some on and am not on my way out the door so I'll be able to let it sit for a nice long time.

Did the Babo get to the texture where you think it would be wearable under your makeup? I think this will be a learn as we go experience. :-)

Hug to your daughter -- colds are the WORST for me, and I know the poor thing is probably miserable. :-( Hard for you to see her like that, too.

BRIGHT SIDE: Perfect opportunity to test the Babo! :-)

Edit -- I keep calling it Balbo. Guess you would have known what I meant, LOL.

Maren I just got to wash my face and do my skincare and makeup. I let my products absorb well, then put on the Babo, let it sit and then my makeup. My makeup looks the same as it normally does. It is a matte looking sunscreen which surprised me. I thought it would be shiney. I'll have to play with it a while to see if it is something I want to use long-term. I also want to make sure it doesn't break me out. I don't remember reading anyone saying it did cause breakouts but you never know. The thickness of it will take me a little getting used to since my current sunscreens are pretty lightweight. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it so far. I especially like the high % of zinc oxide.

Thanks for the well wishes for my daughter. Poor thing keeps saying she's tired but when I lay down with her she tosses and turns and can't get to sleep.

myshell, were you interested in trying eltaMD sunscreen? I have 3 fresh samples. I posted on another thread - the long ASDM. I'll repost if you'd like me to send them to you.

That's really sweet of you. I'm not really looking for a daily sunscreen. I love my ASDM sunscreen and Paula's Choice Super Light spf 30. I wanted to try this one from Babo Botanicals due to the amount of zinc oxide it contains (23%). I'm really working to get rid of my dark spots and I don't want them coming back. Zinc is the best sunscreen for protection. Thanks for offering:-) I'm sure there's someone who'd love to give it a try.

I meant to say I'm happy to hear it's matte. I'm realizing my beloved Suntegrity is too shiny and as mentioned, thick. Now I'm EXTRA excited to try the Babo. Sometimes it s*cks living in the very tip top corner of the Western US -- takes stuff a long time to arrive.

I was surprised that this one was matte due to the thickness. My makeup still looks great over it. I didn't use powder today since I knew I'd be home all day and it hasn't made me oily or shiny looking. Hopefully, it will be worth the long wait:-)

Talk about great minds, I was hopping around and noticed I have that sunscreen up on a vitamin website. It was in a green tube.

The only difference seems to be fragranced or fragrance-free. I think myshell got the yellow tube -- fragrance free (myshell?), and I'm waiting for the green.

Nope I got the green one and I'm glad I did. The fragrance is really light. You don't notice it at all once it's on.
