Nope, that was me. The Complete Book of Essential Oils & Aromatherapy by Valerie Ann Worwood. 423 pages and very comprehensive. Addresses uses for health and the home as well as beauty. I'm enjoying it.

Thanks BellaCarro! I'll make note of it.

Kabella mentioned a book around Christmas time, I believe I remember her saying that she bought it or it was a gift at Xmas and it was about oils.

Hopefully she'll chime in and post the title.

Just wanted to ask, does the book you mentioned only pertain to essential oils or does it get into other botanicals i.e. extracts? How about Carrier oils? Harpa was interested in a book that focused on Carriers.

Thanks!

That's right. Now I remember her mentioning that. My book so far is essential oils and carrier oils. I'm only one third through so I am unsure about the extracts. My senses is not, though. Oils for beauty is only a part of what she goes into. There is a lot of info about uses for health, travel, home, very comprehensive.

Hi Magemay, Yes the Book I got for a xmas gift was The Complete Guide to Essential oils & Aromatherapy. The book is a good source for beauty, holistic health Care, botannicals & yes of course Base Oils (which are carrier oils.) You can get it at Amazon. I have mixed a concoction that I have been using at night 3 base oils which is majority of the mixture with small amounts of 2 essential oils. I just think the 4 most important factors are Balancing, toning, regenerating & healing.
The 2 cons of this book is its over 20yrs. old but it is very informative & also she mentions using oils healing cats BUT what she does not mention is that using some oils on cats can be toxic as they lick their fur, to name one is Tea Tree oil. Thats why cross referencing is so important. I wouldn't use anything to try to heal myself if I am sick but their are oils that are very theraputic. Thats why its so important to cross reference with another book which I will be getting & some websites.

I haven't been here for a while so I hope your doing well, take care, Kabella
