Re: PTR Complexion Pads

@Dazlin

I just looked on amazon for glycolic acid treatment pads and they have the Glycolix brand for really good prices. I was surprized at the low prices.

They have all three strengths...10%, 15% and 20%. It's listed under this title:

Glycolix Elite Glycolic Acid Treatment Pads, 60 Count

Hi, @SilleeMee , It's me again Woman Wink.  Which of these strengths would be appropriate to use in conjunction with Retin A use?  I am using the RA nightly with little to no flaking now.  I wondered if adding in these pads in the morning and then using my SPF for the day would be okay and then continue the RA at night .  Do I need to use GA on a day of it's own?  Also do you rinse off the residue of the pad or just let it dry down and go on with spf or whatever?

One other quick ?  What actually does GA add to any results I may see?  Would VC, niacinamide, feruluic sp? be more beneficial or do I need all of them........oh my!  LOL

TIA

I'm using RA 6/7 nights a week. On the night off RA I use a 30% GA peel (The Ordinary). I do that peel to get my skin well exfoliated. Using RA put the brakes on for me using a nightly (10 to 20%). I couldn't work the GA into my daily daytime routine either.  But you can still use a daily daytime lo-strength GA treatment if you'd like to get more glow to your skin. But I wouldn't not layer it under sunscreen or with other acids such as vitamin C or ferulic. GA at lower strengths such as 10% to 20% (depending on your skin) works best when left on the skin, no rinsing.

Re: PTR Complexion Pads

So, I’ve kinda gotten away from consistently using a glycolic product.  I’ve adjusted my routine in order to get it back in.  I ordered Alpha Skincare’s 10% lotion moisturizer to use in the AM but I also wanted a pad. I found a 5% glycolic acid pad on Amazon with a mix of glycolic, salicylic, and lactic. It’s called N*I*P & Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme.  I’m still waiting for the moisturizer to arrive but have been using the pads for a few days. Even though they are low strength they seem to fit the bill.
