I've never tried either of those, but I'm a Laura Geller Balance & Brighten girl. I have been since she first introduced it. I've strayed a couple times, but always went back.
I do have some mineral foundation I like a lot--Meow Cosmetics--but that company is no more, so when what I have is gone, it'll just be me and my B&B!

@LuvSoCal Hi, Your NC and I'm NW. does that make the difference? I was using the lancome when I had treatments done.
This MAC one is lighter.
If I would go back to Lancome it would have to be a shade lighter.
Something 20 in porcelain.

Hi @simplyfriends I'm on the dry side but live in South Florida which lends to humidity and stops dryness.
I put a ittle Cerave lotion underneath before I put it on. Never looks greasy.
Again, more coverage than the Lancome and I'm liking is much better.

@Pink123 , just wanted to chime in about Pur face powder...I was excited to get it, and the fairest shade was perfect, but to much disappointment this powder gave me pores I never knew I had. I have some visible pores along my t zone...but this was the worst make up I've ever used...I literally looked like I had holes in my face everywhere. I tried a blender sponge, tried a foundation brush, loose fluffy brush...you name it. Sadly I wound up throwing it out...such a waste. I think mineral powders do not work for me. If you decide to try it...I hope it works...otherwise save your receipts...return it.

I've used the Laura Geller baked foundations over the years - started with Balance and Brighten and then went to Baked Elements (unfortunately discontinued) and recently tried the Double Take. I do find with the powder foundations you have to use a good primer and a light hand. I've periodically used other non powder foundations including IT Bye Bye Foundation, Confidence in a Compact (liked this one but also discontinued), Tarte and Doll 10 but most of these didn't work as well for me.

I would look for something that is talc free. BE or Pur or other mineral brands.

Did you apply a primer before using the PUR?

Neither of the two you supplied. I use either Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten or Pur Pressed Mineral Powder

I like Bare Minerals, Lancôme Dual Foundation -- I wear 210 Clair II (N).
Sometimes as others have suggested a primer applied first helps the powder to adhere better to your face.
I like using the powder foundations in the warmer months, just a personal preference.

Ok @Dazlin I think many here have not tried to use other brands. This is my opinion. I do remember 20 years ago and there was something I did not like about it but I cannot remember.
I'm sure you can always return but try MAC or Lancome
if you can one day.
