I've been using powder only since I grew up. I just never got used to liquid and didn't like the feel on my face. I'm from Southn Florida and it's just so hot and does not feel good on the skin.
I used Lancome Powder foundation for over 30 years now but when I was in Madrid last year a salesman at the store showed me MAC plus powder foundation. I said ok and gave it a try.
I ended up loving it and so does my skin. I even think it glides on better for some reason than the Lancome. It looks drier at first but doesn't stay that way once on.
If you wear either one which do you prefer? I'm a convert and just ordered my second MAC one. My shade is NW20. A pale beige. I never thought I would leave Lancome.
I brush it on around my face with one of those short fat brushes you hold in your hand. I'ts from MAC too. Around $50.00 I think. I like that one too.

I don't use either brands but I was curious about how many weeks/months each compact lasts.

@lgfan I was thinking the same thing when I purchased the MAC one. Now I put it on twice a day. Morning, then shower before going out and putting makeup back on again.
The Lancome doesn't last near as long as the MAC and that's another big plus about it.
I have been using rthe MAC one now religiously for 3 months and I just see a little hole starting.
Not so with the Lancome. It was dustier? Also for some reason the Lancome powder did not adhere properly to the tip of my nose for some reason. lol.... I had to blend. The MAC I swirl around with the that brush what is it called "kabuki"? I don't remember. But it is even and not nearly as dusty. I love the final look. I think it's somewhat denser and offers more coverage too?
Skin looks flawless.

I don't use those either. I think you know that I use PUR pressed mineral foundation. I wear it when I need to look my best. It has great coverage for me.

I don't use either, but I do use occasionally PUR and also still BE.....Both work beautifully on me.

Ok, @Sugipine you know my basic fair colring, a col tone that can redden. It always confused me as what I am with Pur minerals Thanks.
By the way, my skin and volume looks so good. I am very hapy with the results of this. I won't reopen the thread because most are not interested in this but I wanted to let you know.
And it's lighter so I don't need any v beam or whatever it's called.
Bottom line, I think I will do an extensive treatment once a year including lids and neck (this was the last one he gave me when I was so red for 9 or 10 days. Definitely worth it - just hide out for 9 days,

Hi @Pink123 Based on the pics you've posted in the past it seems like that MAC shade might be too dark? I'm golden light and wear NC15. You just look much fairer than a beige to me. I haven't tried the powder so I don't know if they're an exact match to the liquid.
Good to know you're happy with the set of laser treatments...apparently time and money well spent!

@LuvSoCal Yes it was for sure. I highly reccomend it in the right hands.

@Pink123 I have dry skin so have never been able to use powder foundation. What is your skin type? I might try the ones you mention in store.

I can't seem to use a liquid foundation. Here's what I like:
