I get mine waxed when needed.  Years ago I plucked too much, and over time they have thinned out.  Need all the help I can get.

Please pluck! lol Waxing can have adverse side effects if you have a reaction. Better yet, thread if you have access to a good place.

@Shanus

I inherited my dad’s thick unibrow.  It took many decades until I got them into a beautiful, separated shaped.  Along the way, I developed an area under the left brow’s front edge that became filled with ingrown hairs.  Of course, it became a do-it-yourself surgery center !

After my last microdermabrasion appointment, she recommended “ Tend Skin “ lotion to prevent ingrown hairs.  I had to Google it to find a source ( Amazon ),

Unique packaging: roller ball application with a hidden lid for traveling.

It has been a week: no scab area, hairs seem to be growing out and ready for plucking.

@Shanus...you are lucky, I have never had thick brows and now that I am 60ish, they are even thinner.  I get my brows threaded at the mall and it HURTS!!  I will say they look much thicker once I have it done.  I also have to pluck a bit between visits, my 10x mirror helps me out.

Wax--at a salon.  My brows were so thick when I was young and now that that is the style, they are not.  I just get a "clean-up" waxing.

Finishing Touch Flawless Women's Painless Hair RemoverI love this Finishing Touch razor. I bought mine at Walmart. It works great and doesn't hurt or pull. I even do my eyebrows with it.

I get mine waxed faithfully every 8 weeks, along with my nostrils, upper lip, chin, underarms, bikini (Brazilian) and legs.

@VenturaHighway Thanks for that info.  I've been thinking about getting one of those for my eyebrows and few pesky chin hairs.  I can't stand the pain of plucking. I have thick,dark eyebrows.

I prefer threading. The lady who does my brows is very accurate. She only threads under the brow and a few strays.

I have mine threaded too.  Sometimes - depending where I am - it's more convenient to have them waxed.   But threading is best, at least for me.  I've been having it done for many years, and I agree that it's not frightening.

Threading is fast, less expensive than waxing, and the results last longer.  The woman I go to most of the time is fantastic, but I've had it done by others as well, and I've always been pleased.
