One disadvantage in using PayPal is that the money is taken out the minute you pay. When you use a credit or debit card it's not taken out until the item is sent. It's great to be able to use PayPal on eBay since the item will be sent immediately, but I don't like to use it other places.

I crack up that QVC still accepts Carte Blanche. Seriously, who still has one of these? I remember my Dad has this card in the 70s.

qvc does accept paypal, but only via their bill me later feature right now. i use it. it shows up on your paypal homepage and then you can just transfer the money over to the bill me later. it is very easy to use. they really need to get rid of the check/money order feature.

I think it would be great if PayPal were an option for shopping on QVC. I always use it if it's offered. NickNack, you can set up your PayPal account to charge to a credit card instead of to your bank account or debit card. The charge then goes on the credit card exactly the same way it does any other time. However, it's safer because you only give your credit card number to PayPal--your online vendors don't have it and can't lose or compromise it.

Bella, refunds are handled just like now. The vendor, like QVC, refunds to your PayPal account. PayPal will either refund it to the bank or credit card you used, or keep it in your paypal account for you to spend next time. You get to choose.

Kay, Bill Me Later is an online credit card.

When you apply, you are given a credit line. BML can be used at various vendors, however, not everyone accepts it. Like a credit card, you can make a minimum payment and your balance will accrue interest. If you pay your balance in full by the due date, you are not charged interest.

Some vendors offer no interest for 6 months, or no payments for 3 months, etc. QVC doesn't offer anything.

They are owned by Pay Pal.

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.
