I didn't know where to post this ,so here goes....lol

Late last night ,I purchased Shampoo on Drugstore.com and it was on my doorstep 9 am this morning.how did they do that ????

.......and it was totally free,inc. shipping and tax.......... because I had money in my  drugstore points

I think that some of these .com companies have contracts with local businesses to help distribute the load. Sounds like the timing was just right when you placed your order.

I love it when that happens though!

Every once in a while, I notice some orders some places leave the warehouses almost within minutes.  I'm not near any of those warehouses, so it still takes 2 to 3 days before I see orders.  I'm okay with that or even longer, but I do expect delivery within the promised EDD.

I think 2 aspects of the quick delivery are good for the retailer, too.  First, it pleases most buyers; second, buyers have no time to cancel or change an order. 

Still - it would work for me if I weren't in downsizing mode where even an extra can of hairspray or a ackup bottle of Purity just gets in my way.Might need things by fall though.

 Some .com companies contract with local businesses to help  distribute the load. I'm not sure about Drugstore.com in particular. But it sounds like you placed your order at the exact perfect time to get it out to you. I love it when that happens!

I order items for my mother on Amazon and if I order early enough she gets it same day.  Free shipping - just needs to go through Prime.  That amazes me.  Literally I order by 9:00 a.m. and it's on her doorstep at 2:00 p.m. - awesome.
