Overnight conditioning

Can I use the regular cleansing conditioner as a treatment or do you really need to buy the remoist? The remoist is so expensive so wondering if anyone just uses the regular cleansers for this. I have blonde hair that I highlight so it is very dry and use flat iron a few times a week. I have the POM and the Gardenia Green Tea. Also, how do you sleep with it on without it getting on your pillow?
