@SilleeMee wrote:My makeup brushes. Nothing fancy or expensive. They are just perfect for what I need them to do. I would be lost without them because of a hand disability I have lost the use of my fingers so brushes are the only way I can apply makeup.
@SilleeMee ITA. Great brushes are necessary.

@tototwo wrote:(also a baby boomer here) I've used both Revlon Lustrous lipstick in Softsilver Red and CG's AquaSmooth compact foundation for 35-40 years and will always have these in my arsenal. Don't know if I'd call either of them a "prized possession," but won't be without either one.
@tototwo Yep. If you’d never be without them, they’re your prized possession.

L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara (navy blue). It's a generous mascara, without being clumpy. And I love the subtlety of the navy blue.

Mine would be BE bisque and well rested. Both are my concealer especially around my eyes, that do not make them cry or sting.

I also like Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks. I have tried other brands but I like the soft creamy texture of RSL a lot.

@Shanus Good to hear from you. I sometimes do that. I have to admit I figured it out by accident. I let the wand sit on the bottom of the lash a nano-second too long and it deposited the mascara there.
It's another look and there are times when I like it. Many times though, I'm in a hurry and just going out for a short time and I don't feel like the heavier look is what I need.
If you're visiting DC I know you know (terrible English) to always be aware of where you are. DC is a wonderful city, but it's easy to end up in the wrong area (in more ways than one).

@Judaline Thanks for the nice words. Can you imagine being my friend and trying to decipher what I am saying (verbally) and what I really mean to be saying? Ha!
I use slang way too much. Luckily, my three daughters understood the distinction and unless we are all four really going at it in conversation have managed to keep the 'slang' to a minimum.
Sometimes they'll say, (paraphrasing), "Mom....to use YOUR words....bla bla".
I always kid my friend that I eat with at least 4 times a week that she should be worried....be very worried...she actually now understands whatever the point is I'm trying to get across". Ha!

@Valstybaby Yes! When I was young(er) I used to do that. Most people though have trouble telling when to stop and it is dangerous
I used to have an eyelash curler that heated up (battery operated). It worked great but over time (and constantly dropping it) had to be trashed.
I don't understand why someone else doesn't develop another one (battery heated). It would be a best seller because it would be easy to make it so it wouldn't get too hot.
After I junked that one I bought one or two others (again, supposedly battery heated) but they never worked so I gave up.
With the arthritis in my hands (fingers and wrist) it sometimes is difficult to hold onto anything too complicated. That's why I like the cheapie Revlon one, it's simple and uncomplicated (kinda like it's owner)...Ha!

I guess it depends on what you mean by prized possession...
I’m very happy with IT cosmetics Brow Power Powder and wear it every day so that was my first thought.
Then I thought of the bareMinerals blush I love so much that I hunted it down on eBay and bought the only one available. I’d have bought more it they’d been there. The color is Pink Pearl & it is from the line that had real pearls in it.
