I noticed that many of the actress's had really bright cheeks. Is that a current trend? Kim Novak looked really good for 80. Her décolleté and neck were that of a 30 year old. I'm sure she's had some face work done but she still looked good. Goldie Hawn looked odd, like some face work done badly. Bette Midler was aging but very gracefully and looked beautiful. Most of the over 40 beauties are still just as beautiful, like Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts etc... Still, many had the very bright cheeks.

I didn't watch most of it, so can't comment. I did see Goldie, and said (to myself) "What the $*%# did she do to her face? I thought it was sad.

I thought Bette Midler looked fabulous, very natural and does not look like she has had any work done. I was horrified when I saw Kim Novak. OMG!!! she could barely move her lips to speak and her cheek implants where huge! I had watched an old movie of hers last week (Vertigo) and she was so gorgeous. My DH and I were in shock.

What I noticed is that several of the lady celebrities and interviewers did not have any lipstick on -- or they were wearing nude matte lipstick. If this is a new trend, it's unattractive. On the TV screen, these ladies looked lip-less.
Maybe I'm an old fogey, but I think a woman looks more appealing with some color on her lips.

Kim Novak was a disaster! She is so stoned, she could barely function.

I thought Goldie was scary looking. That long hair & makeup was not complimentary to her age. It made her like an older woman trying hard to look young again. On a higher note, Charlize looked beautiful. Her makeup and dress were No. 1 for me.

Most everyone looked great, I thought!
Ms Novak was hardly recognizable to me, sadly. I always think woman (and men) of any age look so much better if they just go with their age and work with what they have instead of getting injections, cut up and rearranged. At least to the point where it gets so obvious.
I didn't notice bright cheeks! I thought the makeup on most everyone was nicely subdued.

Just looked at pics of Goldie and Kim and yikes almighty! Goldie was straining to grin so wide it appeared unnatural and stretched her neck all to heck. Just strange!
Kim, sadly, looked a hot mess. I cannot help but think if she'd just aged naturally she would be still lovely. She looked like she had a Kim Novak mask on. Not attractive at all.

I posted last night that Sunday morning I saw an interview done with Eva Marie St. She was in a lot of Alfred Hitchcock movies and is still beautiful.
She has not had anything done to her face. She is still married for many, many years. What a lovely gracious lady. Just a lady, the way she carries herself and talks.
At the end she, her husband and the interviewer were walking down a sidewalk and she said, "stand up straight and walk and walk. It will help make you feel better and keep you young".
It was a wonderful interview. She gave some stories about Hitchcock and said she'll never do a "tell all book".

I recognized Goldie by her voice only. I had a hard time beleiving that was her.
Annabellethecat, that sounds like a good interview. I like Eva Marie St. Not many claassy ladies like that anymore. I wish I'd seen it.
