Sing
Talk about their family (living or dead)
Talk aboutt their kids
Talk about their beach house
Talk about their vacations
Talk about their friends
Use adjectives.
What's left? Pantomime?Oh, this is fun. May I add that hosts cannot wear sleeveless tops in the winter or low-cut tops EVAR.

This is good!
May I play?
They cannot look too young
They cannot look too old
They must not throw handbags
They must not dance because someone might think they are a stripper
They must not laugh lest someone hear a "cackle"
They must not talk about bacon, but they may eat it as long as they don't touch it with their fingers
- I believe it's also true that they must never speak of the QVC products they have used or purchased.
- And they shouldn't allow certain vendors/designers to "talk over them."
- And they should never look in the monitor because they may be accused of primping even though they need to look to see how and when the product is being shown.

You all forgot about the HAIR!
1) It must always stay off the face - even if there is wind blowing
2) It has to be colored and styled exactly how a viewer wants it
3) It's too long...... or too short
4) bangs - no bangs
Don't get me started on those filthy, dirty NAILS with .....OMG - WRONG COLOR.......
I just cannot and will not go into the FEET demos.....
This country is imploding, I tell ya'
Isn't there a provision in THE CONSTITUTION that says hosts and vendors have NO "Freedom of Speech"?? Pffft

My apologies, Rachb, if we've derailed your thread. It's all in good fun and not directed at you or anyone else.
This off-shoot might make for a very entertaining thread all by itself.

I think some of the hosts try to be cute with their choice of words but some of the slang used is not necessary and no one on TV for the Q is in their 20's.

@Katcat1, how do you always get the smallest font available? AND a color that disappears on this white background?

Oh....and don't forget "proper English"........Nobody from Bahston, Nawlins, or Brooklyn allowed..............

@sallybusky wrote:OMG. To "freak out" means to "throw a fit" - whoops another expression....It means to get upset, as in "When mom sees that I've spilled grape juice on the white sofa she will freak out!" Not every word in our language that starts with the letter f is a replacement for the granddaddy of all swear words.
While that is true, that's not always the context in with which freakin is used.
If someone says "you have got to be freakin kidding me", we all know what they are substituting freakin for.
It has nothing to do with throwing a fit.
