@Q4u wrote:Yes, I've heard "freakin" used before on air. It's really a substitute for a swear word (as I'm sure you know) and should not be tolerated on air. It's not cute, it's low IMHO and I cringe when I hear it.
Another one I'm sick of is "It's so stinkin cute" used over and over by the rep of Temptations and I thought for a quick minute that one or two of the hosts were going to pick up on it (aarg)..... Hard to take when the reps don't seem to have the vocabulary to choose different and suitable wording for their presentations..... again, JMHO
The vendor is not the only one who uses it often. I've heard (even recently) Jill Bauer say it a few times, as does Shawn and another host.

OMG. To "freak out" means to "throw a fit" - whoops another expression....It means to get upset, as in "When mom sees that I've spilled grape juice on the white sofa she will freak out!" Not every word in our language that starts with the letter f is a replacement for the granddaddy of all swear words.

Pat always says "Oh Crumb" instead of "Oh S***" I do not think it is cute at all.

Dislike that word. Once again slang words. Not professional . You can dress a person up make them look glamours but once they open their mouth with slang words, spoils the image that they are trying to project.

Althogh I can understand doing otherwise because of our recent spate of weather, we always shut the front door to prevent flies, animals and strangers from coming in that way. Just habit I guess.

So, to recap, Hosts cannot:
Sing
Talk about their family (living or dead)
Talk aboutt their kids
Talk about their beach house
Talk about their vacations
Talk about their friends
Use adjectives.
What's left? Pantomime?

Oh, this is fun. May I add that hosts cannot wear sleeveless tops in the winter or low-cut tops EVAR.

This is good!
May I play?
They cannot look too young
They cannot look too old
They must not throw handbags
They must not dance because someone might think they are a stripper
They must not laugh lest someone hear a "cackle"
They must not talk about bacon, but they may eat it as long as they don't touch it with their fingers
