On a Mission for a Quality Deep Conditioner!!!

I've neglected my hair for far too long and need to start taking better care of it. Went almost a year with no hair cut. I know, what was I thinking?!?!? I am hoping to find something at Sally's or Target as well as maybe a salon. I've tried Wen and it was okay, but wayyy too much $$. Also what ingredients to look for/avoid. I can't always afford to spend a ton on hair products so hoping for something that works that won't break the bank. Any suggestions ladies???
