Old foundation numbers and new names question

Is there a list somewhere of the old foundation numbers and the new names? I used BE for many years and used to mix 1.2 with 3 now I'm trying to see if there which of the new colors might be the best match for me. Is golden medium similar to 2.3?

Maybe I should just call and order some samples, can you still do that?

Re: Old foundation numbers and new names question

I just looked at my original foundation jars. Medium Beige was 2.3 and is now N20. I'm sorry that's the only shade that I have of both old and new designations. The rest are only new numbers.

Re: Old foundation numbers and new names question

I wear golden medium in winter and golden tan in summer. They are very yellow. I never had mismatches until these came out. Golden medium is not similar to medium beige(2.3) because of the yellow undertone. My skin has a distinct yellow tone. Hope this helps.

Ok thanks for the replies. I think I'll just have to go to Ulta or Sephora and check out the new foundations.

Re: Old foundation numbers and new names question

This shows some of the older color/number info:

1.2 Fairly Light

2. Light

Both of these shades are still in production, but you might want to compare Golden Fair as well to see if it would suit you. Photos of the colors are on BE.com:

Re: Old foundation numbers and new names question

Ok I think I might need fairly medium. I haven't made it to the store yet, but my 1.2 ( fairly light) is too yellow so I end up putting 3/medium over it.

Re: Old foundation numbers and new names question

I went and had the sales associates try fairly medium ( 1.3) on me and it matched perfectly. Even my husband said it just looks like my natural skin. So I'm thrilled.
