Mixing baking soda with shampoo will act a a clarifying shampoo. Don't try this one. It removes your color also.

Remove all makeup before going to bed.

Use a product that is designed to remove the red from your eyes on pimples that are red. The pimple will still be there but it won't be as obvious if the redness is not.

For puffy eyes, use a baby's teething ring. Freeze it and apply to the eyes for five minutes.

Oh yah, used many bottles of baby oil and iodine in my youth!

When applying lipstick:  put on one coat, blot with tissue, then apply 2nd coat.  Most lipsticks will last several hours (even thru lunch!) with this method.

@tototwo

As soon as read this I went and put on my lipstick the way you described, then ate breakfast and lunch. Here it is is several hours later and my lipstick is still there!! Wow I would never have believed it unless I tried it and it works beautifully!! Thanks so much for the tip.Woman Very Happy

Two tips that don't work:

1. Mix honey with a ground-up baby aspirin for a wonderful homemade facial. You wind up with a sticky, gritty face. The aspirin doesn't dissolve and nothing special happens to your skin.

2. Dot toothpaste on a pimple to dry it up. Nope. Doesn't dry anything. And I think it makes the pimple mad.

Homemade suntan oil - add iodine to a bottle of baby oil.  Back in the day, before we knew any better, we applied this baked ourselves in the sun.

OMG!!!

I did this once as a young teen and had a terrible skin reaction!!!  My mother was so mad at me -- she had to take me to a skin specialist!  It was no fun at all --- and I thought I was going to tear my skin off!!!!!
