First thing is to remember that the treatment products are not conditioners.  They do have a shampoo and conditioner, but I can only speak to the treatment products 0 thru 3.  Most, if not all, of their other products include silicones, most of which I avoid.

Olaplex 0 thru 3 are bond builders, not conditioners, meant to repair the bonds broken by chemical, and maybe heat, processing.  If you're expecting them to be a conditioner, you'll be disappointed.  1 & 2 are "for professional use" and I have used them when coloring my hair.  I can definitely say that I can see a huge difference my first color after getting a perm when using 1 & 2 as part of the process.

Olaplex 0 & 3 are the treatment products sold to the masses.  3 was meant to be the take-home product for weekly use after your hairdresser used 1 & 2 as part of the chemical process.  0 was added later, and now 0 & 3 are used in combination as a weekly treatment.  I don't have the time to use them EVERY week, but do use them and I can tell that my hair is in better shape after using them.

All that being said, I have recently started using some K18 products and I'm kinda over the moon with them.  My usnderstanding is, that if you imagine your hair bonds being a ladder, Olaplex fixes the rungs while K18 fixes the vertical part or vice versa.  Either way, I plan to continue to modify my routine, but still use both product lines.

@poregirl  I've been using Olaplex for maybe 2 years now. It is the first hair care line that my hair likes all the time. Everything else was a complete flop of it seemed good for a few weeks, they flopped like the rest.

I have stick straight hair that almost hits my shoulders.

i definitely recommend 4 and 5 to start with the line.

they make my hair feel so good and smooth and a little of the shampoo goes a long way.

i have been using them for about a year or so and have baby fine, shoulder length, box-colored hair.

@poregirl   I love it!   I color my hair and have highlights so I need it.

I use 3 maybe once or twice a week.   I use 4 and 5 and I love 9.

My hair feels so nice after I use it.

Forgot to mention I also have #7 bonding oil.   I like it but its not needed because you can use any oil really.

@poregirl   I have used the Olaplex Bonding one and it dried out my hair. It's also best used after shampooing first w/ a clarifying shampoo which is further drying. I did not repurchase.

The violet one however for blonde or silver hair (me) did give a good clear color, took away any yellowing or brassiness on my blonde friend.

I do find most Olaplex products are drying on my hair and "bonding" can be found in other much less expensive products. Every company climbed on the band wagon when Olaplex became so propular. Violet or blue tinged shampoo are everywhere, too.

***I do have curly hair which requires extra moisture. This effects how products work on my hair.
