Your opinions on the very best red lipstick....one that stays on. I need this for my son's wedding.

@gigy   Congrats on the wedding!!!! When I need a red lip that looks best on the most women, I reach for MAC RUBY WOO. It's not matte, but stays on a long time.

If you apply, blot and apply again, it's even more long lasting.

In addition to @Shanus' reply I also like Mac's Russian Red which is a true red but blue-based and matte.

I am a "winter" and prefer Clinique's "Heather Moon" which is the color of the base of a candied apple.  Add a lip pencil first and you are good to go.

Thank you for the Armani suggestion. I went to Nordstrom's website and ordered the 400. Hope it arrives before I leave for the wedding. It said shoulld arrive between 7/11-7/15. I leave on the 14th.

@gigy Laura Mercier also has some great reds...   especially if you need a good blue red, which is tough to find.

If you want it to stay on,  my suggestion would be to take a red (or any color that compliments your lips or lipstick) lip pencil and fill in your lips with that first.  That way if the lipstick starts to wear off,  your lip pencil color will still be there!
